I think he stays with the Marlins. Their asking price is way too high. They were asking for Ozzie Albies from the Braves and that's asinine.

Idk how they could expect a team like the Braves (or anyone for that matter) to trade a 21 year old all star 2nd baseman under team control until 2024 for 2 years of JT Realmuto. Last year they were asking for Ronald Acuna. So to me unless that asking price drops quite a bit he won't be going anywhere. Unless a GM is really stupid that is.

I hope he stays here in Miami, heβs a great player, one of the best catchers in MLB.

Just to update how high the Marlins asking price is for Realmuto, a couple days back apparently the Mets turned down an offer of Realmuto for Syndergaard.
They're just asking for far too much that it seems impossible that they make a deal. They are asking far more for him then they did for Stanton or Ozuna.

They traded Stanton, Ozuna and Yelich for a Costco sized thing of toilet paper, but for Realmuto (terrific as he is), they're deciding to actually get major league ready contributors? Pass. I'm glad Brodie exercised caution and didn't dump Syndergaard, Nimmo or Conforto as that simply plugs one hole but immediately opens up another one. Robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Now that the Mets got Wilson Ramos, the Mets is out of the running.

Wow, I completely forgot about Yelich. I wasn't overly impressed with the haul they got back there either. Less so now after an MVP season from him. I just do not understand what that front office is doing in Miami.
