In 'The Evil That Men Do', he gets medieval downstairs on a giant rapist in a bar and it ain't pretty. Proof that Bronson's clutch in all circumstances.

I just watched him in Death Wish V: The Face of Death where he choked a guy to death with a cannoloi. Bronson didn't come to mess around.

I'm a huge Charles Bronson fan, too. Much of his 80s stuff was often critically maligned, but many fans still loved them (myself included).
And speaking of The Evil That Men Do, I really hope it gets a special edition blu-ray release someday soon.

The Evil That Men Do 1984 I must admit isn't one of "kalle" Bronson's better 80's movie even if it is very typical of that period.
J. Lee Thompson once directed movies like An Ice Cold in Alex and The Guns of Navarone, was doing thuds like this in the 1980s, destroying his director CV.
José Ferrer, I guess he needed the money.

In addition to the 'Death Wish' entries, I love '10 To Midnight' (1983), 'Murphy's Law' (1986), 'Messenger Of Death' (1988) and 'Kinjite : Forbidden Subjects' (1989).
One I'd like to see again is 'Death Hunt' (1981) which pairs him with old pal Lee Marvin. It's directed by Peter Hunt who also directed Bronson in 'Assassination' (1987).

I actually like a lot of J. Lee Thompson's films from the 1980s, including several he made with Bronson. And 'Happy Birthday To Me' (1981) is one of my favourite slashers. For some old school Thompson, I like 'Cape Fear' (1962) and 'Eye Of The Devil' (1966).

I had to look it up, my old old notes, I gave it 4/10 once, and I think I'll stick with that. Sorry!

I like the fact that in Death Wish 5 the textiles company has a vat of acid in the floor (conveniently placed for him to throw people into it).

Death Hunt is a great movie with a great cast. I think this movie was based on the story of Albert Johnson, the Mad Trapper of Rat River, and a manhunt he triggered in the Northwest Territories and Yukon in Canada. I'd like to get it on dvd. My memory of it's vague at best.
