Oh Yeah, I did like " THE LAST JEDI". Although.........WHY.....IN THE NAME.....OF ALL THAT IS HOLY.....DID THEY HAVE TO KILL OFF ADMIRAL ACKBAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because, reasons??? Because it had Good Twists, Good Action Scenes, Great Acting (especially from Mark Hamill), and a Great Soundtrack.

I thought that that was a Bad Decision, He was such a beloved character in the Franchise. Plus, If they wanted to kill him off then he should have a more Heroic and EPIC Death like Vice Admiral Holdo (Laura Dern) did.

I know many people will disagree with this, but I loved it when I first watched it and I still do. It swinged between the 8/10 - 10/10 (when I was in complete hype mode) over time and has now settled as a high 8/10 or low 9/10 for me. However, it's not my #1 Rian Johnson movie, which is still Looper (strong 9/10).

I still feel as I did when I first saw it. Good sci-fi movie. Bad Star Wars movie.
Taken on its own it has a lot going for it. But as a Star Wars flick it failed to deliver what I had hoped I would get from SW especially after waiting 30 years and TFA promised so much. No great return for Luke and no answers for TFA's questions.
The only thing that makes me look forward to Ep 9 is that Abrams is coming back so maybe he can answer some of his own TFA questions. But aside from that I'm a little "meh" right now.
Maybe a cool trailer will reignite my interest more. But then again I thought the trailers for TLJ were awesome. Whenever I saw the shot of Kylo putting out his hand to Rey I would get shivers! But now...? Meh.

I find myself frustrated by the total lack of progress with the Star Wars films, i.e. at the end of ROTJ we had a single barely trained Jedi who must pass on what he learnt and built a new Jedi order, and now after TLJ we have a single barely trained Jedi who must pass on what she learnt and build a new Jedi order WTF?

I think I last saw it right around when it first came to Netflix. When I first saw it, it reignited my then-dead passion for Star Wars. I really enjoyed it and couldn't wait to see where the story went next.
A year later, and I still feel a mixture of disappointment and frustration that people don't feel the same way.

While I do indeed feel like I need to rewatch it, the director, the cast, and all the social media DIVERSITY! drama has really killed my enthusiasm about the series. I myself don't mind and am not opposed to the diversity, but the way they've been replying to trolls and making it so much of a thing has really put me off. SW was supposed an escape, a world(s) beyond our earthly bullshit. But RJ and the cast engaged in it full on and it has put a bad taint on their efforts.

Not white cast bad. Got it!

It's not as good as Rogue One, it's more satisfying than TFA and it's a masterpiece compared to Solo: A Star Wars Story.
I'll start by saying that I am not a big enough fan of the franchise in general to be bothered by the strange directions this movie goes in.
While the script is a lot less focused than The Force Awakens, I think The Last Jedi is easily the more creative movie. My only huge issue with the film is the silly humor. Unlike most people, I actually think the casino planet scenes are some of the most purely entertaining scenes in the movie.
Some things are big improvements over The Force Awakens as far as I'm concerned.
Adam Driver finds his footing better this time around and is given more complexity.
I hate Snoke in TFA, but actually find him quite effective in TLJ. He is pretty creepy here imo.
Domnhall Gleeson is terrible in TFA, but he learned how to be humorously hammy this time around.
The art direction, cinematography and action scenes are much more to my liking in TLJ.

1 Thing that I really really don't like is the fact that "THE LAST JEDI" made the character 'Rey' become the Most Hated Female "STAR WARS" Character of all time.
That is just not okay, I like the character 'Rey'.
I liked her in "THE FORCE AWAKENS" and I liked her again in "THE LAST JEDI".
I think that she is a great and fun character and Daisy Ridley does an Amazing Job playing her.

While the weakest part of the movie, I don't think the Canto Bight scenes are bad. They just go on a bit long and should have gotten more to the point in finding Benicio Del Toro. We don't need to see Rose and Finn release and frolic with those creatures. But watching the Canto Bight scenes are not some endurance test for me.
So many people hate the humor stuff at the beginning with Poe and Hux at the beginning. It's only for one goddamn scene and doesn't last long. Why do so many people act like the film gets completely thrown off the rails here?

Only 1 year?? Feels like 3.
TFA teased Luke as the grand master Jedi knight. TLJ swept the rug from under him. Snoke is a nobody, the Rebels & First Order alike are amateurs... Rey is a nobody. The movie is bottom tier SW.

Never seen it. Why would I want to after the colossal failure of The Farce Remakens?

It's decent. I liked Mark Hamill and some of the action sequences, but overall it left me wanting. They set up Snoke to be the Big Bad of the new films and.....yeah.
My main issue with the sequel trilogy is the Force Awakens and the way it lazily remakes A New Hope. It sets up a poor foundation for the rest of the series to follow. Here's hoping the Episode 9 will be above average.

I rank it just above Attack of the Clones but below every other Star Wars movie except Solo since I haven't viewed it.
Snoke was supposed to be this unimaginably evil and powerful being and I've now come to realize that Jar Jar Binks probably could have killed him.
There was a lot of mystery and energy behind the Force Awakens that was just obliterated with Last Jedi. Luke, Snoke, etc. Kylo was a lot cooler with his mask on (should have waited until IX to reveal face)... I realize he took it off in TFA but still...
Just a disappointing film all around.

I saw TLJ once in a theater and Star Wars has been dead to me ever since.
