I'm a guy, soooo... Longer  the hairstyle of Hoffman and Redford in your avatar is the length I like the most. mamma mia.  other prime examples include    yes, i have a type… but nothing/no one beats this guy  PS: in the end, hair doesnt matter at all. i have liked men of all sorts of hairstyles, including completely bald or men with very long hair. its not about the hair, at least not for me. |

If a dude has plenty of hair, especially in his later years, exploit it I say. That said, personally, I do prefer shorter hair on a guy. It can accentuate his maleness more.
