For my New Years plans it's the same tradition I have every year ( and I never tire of it either ! ) . I will be in this place via my TV Set for the next few days
starting Sunday December 30th at 11PM
If you have this cable channel SyFy perhaps you can watch this program also . Thanks so much hi224 for your subject post . What a great way to spend the new year. I don't have SyFy, but I do have the Original Series Boxset. Maybe one year.

It's actually been my new years tradition
since I signed up with the old IMDB back in December 2008
and I was on that very active TZ message board
for 8 years until it shut down of course .
I think that's awesome that you have this TV Series Boxset
you could even start your very own marathon if you wanted also .
Do you have it on DVD or Bluray ?
I have this collection on DVD and I usually from time to time start
my own little marathons too .
Also this past July 4th I had to put together my own little marathon
because SyFy channel decided not to show it - why I don't know .
I know you said it here that you didn't have the SyFy channel
but just in case you're interested
and would like to join in on the TZ Sub board
for any one of those days that this marathon will be on
you could watch the episodes from your collection too .
Here is the newest thread by poster gbone
for the full TZ Schedule on this current marathon .
Thanks so much Fox in the Snow for your reply .

I also watch the Twilight Zone marathon, usually in from a hotel room, lol. So much better than going out in the madness.

If you like this show too hi224
you could also watch it on SyFy
( or either DVD , Bluray , or on Netflix ) .
Also you could chat on the TZ Sub board here
with us enthusiastic TZ fans of this fine classic show too ( no pressure of course just a new years suggestion ) .
Thanks so much for your reply too .

During my early through late 20s, seeing Leslie West and Mountain on New Years Eve was a tradition.

Get a pizza, a bag of Doritos, and a six pack and watch an 80's movie.
If anyone wants to make suggestions, I will choose the best combination of pizza toppings, Doritos flavor, type of beer and which 80's movie. Wow, what an exciting life I have. My last New Year's "date" was 11 years ago.

Watching a movie, no doubt. Last year I think I went to bed early, so exciting! But don't cry for me, I've had my share of New Year's Eve parties over the years, domesticity has its perks too.

Spicy Sweet Chilli for Doritos - always good to add a bit of spice to your life. 3. Dark Lord beer (come on, spoil yourself a little), and if you cannot get that one then Pilsner Urquell 4. Movies - I have two. The evening is long. Start with Tootsie and follow by Commando. Tootsie will start you off and get you a bit mellow in the end, and thats when Arnie gets in and bring you back up! sounds like a pretty great evening to me.

I have never had Dark Lord beer before, but it sounds pretty strong. What if my friends drop by and I'm eating Hawaiian pizza and watching Tootsie? I'm worried about this! Or any scene in Commando with Bennett could be equally damning. But if you say do then I have to do it. Now let me track down this 15% imperial stout...

No going to loud bars for me. A girl is coming over to watch movies all day and half the night. Best plans ever! Thanks Jayman. When younger I would hit the bars and always had fun. Now just me and a girl or one other couple eating, drinking, playing board games and watching movies suits me just fine. Since I posted that there is a chance another couple might join us. Fine by me. I'll just make more food.

If you would have asked me in my early 20s, I'd say hitting up several clubs in the downtown area, getting drunk, going deaf over the insanely loud music, making a damn fool of myself, and probably puking on the sidewalk just to top off the night.
Now I'm just gonna take it easy, kick back, have some champagne, and watch Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve like I have been for the past several years.
