IIT Guwahati has gone dry as far as notes other than 2000 Rs is concerned. And nobody has change, it seems.

wow. i live in KOCHI, where we were never that affected by demonetization. yesterday i was at the liquor store and the poor soul behind me tried to purchase liquor with a card. little did he know that the government run liquor stores in kerala do not take cards. i could sense the air of despair in his voice when he uttered the words - "ayyo, card edukkille?" translation - "ayyo, you dont take cards?"

Lots of places in the Malabar area were very badly screwed by demonetization. I guess lack of BJP sympathisers translated into a lack of notes in ATMs by some strange coincidence.
