KC's defense is just atrocious and that's why they won't be winning the Super Bowl.

That should do it. Seattle up by 10 with 2 minutes and change left. KC isn't the team known for making awesome comebacks especially in a place like Seattle.
Just as I type that, Smith returns the kick for 61 yards.

KC's defense is just atrocious and that's why they won't be winning the Super Bowl. That and their history of fading in big games and in the post season. Especially in the 4th quarter.

And Andy Reid loses another big game. I am telling you, as always, KC will be "one and done" in the playoffs.
Probably lose in a 4th quarter comeback by whoever they play in the post season.

Were the refs good in this game? Doesn't matter. They were equally good and bad for both teams. So neither team had an advantage. I am sure they do the best they can. They are human. So they are never going to be perfect. Ok so you agree they were bad.

I tuned into a little bit of football today and the little bit that I did see was just reiterated my belief that the officiating in the NFL makes it so damn hard to watch.
I maybe caught 10 or 15 minutes of football and in that 15ish minutes I saw a bullshit roughing the passer call on Clowney against Foles and a bullshit pass interference call against the Steelers that basically gave the Saints a free touchdown.
It won't happen but I really wish that the NFL would hold the referee's accountable for bad officiating. Fine them, suspend them, fire them. Treat them like any other employee. I want to literally see headlines like "Tony Corrente suspended for 4 weeks due to assumed failed drug test for missing [insert random horrible call]".

KC losses:
43-40 54-51 29-28 38-31
2nd all-time in points-per-game in losses at 37.5 (Redskins 1983, 38.5). Skins only lost twice, though.

Here is my recap and analysis of Week 16’s games
Seahawks defeat Chiefs 38-31. Seahawks clinch a playoff birth with a big win over the Chiefs, winning behind their strong rushing attack, they have a solid team all around and can compete with anyone, but they are much better at home than on the road which is a concern in the playoffs for them. I have no confidence in the Chiefs despite their explosive offense, they cannot win in big games and their defense is weak, their offense will have to be excellent in the playoffs if they are going to win.
Saints defeat Steelers 31-28. Saints clinch the 1 seed in the NFC, after a few off games Brees and their offense had a strong outing, the Saints are extremely scary going forward, they have a very talented team all around and are great at home. Difficult loss for the Steelers, they played well but TO’s and penalties cost them, they are on the outside looking in now in the playoff picture, they have a talented team but they have lost several close games and it looks like it will cost them a playoff spot.
Eagles defeat Texans 32-30. Eagles keep their playoffs hopes alive with a close win behind a great outing from Foles, I think they should’ve given him a chance earlier in the season as he is doing a great job. Texans slip to the 3 seed in the AFC which is costly, and their secondary is allowing a ton of passing yards and that is an issue that has to be dealt with going forward, they need to make adjustments their as they have a lot of talent on defense but their secondary is getting scorched.
Patriots defeat Bills 24-12. Pats clinch the AFC East title and if they win next week they clinch the 2 seed in the AFC and a bye, they won behind a great rushing attack that gained over 200 yards and a strong defensive performance, the Pats have room for improvement but they are great at making adjustments and they are definitely Super Bowl contenders. The Bills have a lot of rebuilding to do before they can be a playoff caliber team.
Cowboys defeat Buccaneers 27-20. Cowboys clinch the NFC East Title and are playoff bound, they have a solid team with a balanced offensive attack and an underrated defense, it will be interesting to see what they do in the playoffs. Bucs need to rebuild their defense before they can compete but it will be interesting to see if they decide on Winston as their franchise QB going forward.
Colts defeat Giants 28-27. Great comeback win for the Colts as they stay right in the AFC playoff race, the winner of their game against the Titans next week will get the 6 seed in the AFC, Luck with a great performance leading the Colts to a comeback win, he’s had an outstanding year, and he now has talent surrounding him. Giants with a solid effort, they’ve played better as of late and will be an improved team next year IMO.
Vikings defeat Lions 27-9. Vikings with a solid win, one more win and they will be in the playoffs, they’ve played much better since firing their OC and they seem energized and are playing like the 2017 Vikings finally with a balanced offensive attack and a strong defense, they’ve got enough talent to be a threat in the playoffs if they get in. The Lions are an interesting team, they have talent but also a lot of holes and I’m curious to see where they go from here.
Rams defeat Cardinals 31-9. With one more win the Rams clinch the 2 seed and a bye, they are a very dangerous team with a lot of talent, especially on offense, they need to cut down on the TO’s though and their defense has a lot of room for improvement. The Cardinals are in complete rebuilding mode.
Bears defeat 49ers 14-9. Bears with a medicore game but they get the win and still have a chance at the 2 seed, they have a great defense and that makes them a threat in the playoffs. The Niners are waiting for next year when they get Garappolo back and will be a much improved team.
Falcons defeat Panthers 24-10. Falcons with their second straight win, they have a very talented team, their season was ruined by injuries and a few close losses, they will be much improved in 2019 IMO. Panthers aren’t playing Cam and are ready for 2019 as well, they are a good team that needs to make a few improvements.
Browns defeat Bengals 26-18. Browns are a remarkably improved team, Mayfield has had a great rookie season and they have a lot of young talent, they will be playoff contenders in 2019 IMO. The Bengals have been mired in mediocrity for a long time now and I think it’s time to fire Lewis and start rebuilding.
Packers defeat Jets 44-38. Packers have a great QB and will be improved next year with a new coach IMO, and the Jets are rebuilding and will continue to get better as they now have a franchise QB in Darnold.
Jaguars defeat Dolphins 17-7. Jags have had a massively disappointing season and they desperately need a franchise QB, while the Fins have been mediocre for a long time and need to shake things up as well IMO, this was one of their worst and most lifeless performances in a long time.
Any thoughts?

So I came to a conclusion yesterday. The Patriots are not a good team, but accepting that makes them fun to watch. Because at the end of the day you have to ask how the hell they won. The local media suspects Brady has an undisclosed knee injury (he didn't even do his pre-game ritual yesterday of running down into the end zone and yelling at the crowd to get pumped). Edelman has a foot problem and is coming off an ACL. You can see he's at least two steps slower. Gronk is, well, it's just sad to watch. The guy labors to run a route, let alone make an impact on the game. They inexplicably found a running game yesterday, which will be essential because they don't have a receiver who can get open.
So they can't move the ball on offense, and they can't stop anyone on defense (great job shutting down Josh Allen and the 5-10 Bills at home yesterday as the announcing crew spent the whole game talking about how Allen can't make intermediate throws. Still gave up a garbage time TD when two Pats defenders ran into each other and fell down like a three stooges skit). Brady's passing TD came on a fluke play where the whistle didn't blow after two Bills had Edelman wrapped up, so they let him go and he just kept running. You wonder how many times they're going to get lucky like that in the playoffs?
All that said, I'm going to have fun watching this team from now on. They're flawed but they keep finding ways to win. There's no way in hell they win a Super Bowl, but they're going to go down swinging. Everyone (myself included) has been wondering why they've lost five games this season when we should've been asking how they've won 10 so far. The talent level on this team is a joke, but here they are.
We'll see if they can hang on to the #2 seed next week, then let the chips fall where they may come playoff time. I have no expectations left after yesterday's performance other than to say these guys won't go down without a fight.

Ok so you agree they were bad. I agree sometimes they make bad, incorrect calls. But they do that to all teams. Every team gets bad calls sometimes.

If you are going to blame this loss on one play, you don't know football. That call happened in the first quarter. The Steelers were winning after that. Bad calls happen to every team. Even the Saints. Winners keep winning. Losers blame the refs.

They have two pro bowlers this year, one of them being Brady who didn't even deserve it. I can't believe anyone could watch the last three Patriots games and call them 'strong Super Bowl contenders.' Bad teams can get by on luck, it happens all the time. The 2010 Patriots were an incredibly flawed team that went 14-2. I knew they wouldn't make the Super Bowl that year and guess what, they lost their first playoff game at home. Not saying that'll happen this year but it could if they don't figure some things out. The GOAT went 13-25 for 127 yds and two picks Sunday. Yeah, they're really on a roll. Strange that I'm a Pats fan yet I'm the realist; supposedly you aren't a Pats fan and all you ever do is praise them for being mediocre. Again, nobody in their right mind would praise them for their play over the last three games. The bottom line is you clearly know shit about football.

The bottom line is: you are a whiny bitch, it’s fans like you that cause people to hate New England’s teams and their fans. The Pats have won 10 consecutive division titles and have been to the Super Bowl 8 times since 2001, winning 5 of them, and all you do is bitch and moan like a little baby about them. The Pats are a good team, any team that wins 10 games and is in position to get a bye is a good team, and yes they are Super Bowl contenders, I mean who in the AFC is the top contender? It’s up for grabs, and the Pats are definitely a contender, I have no confidence in the Chiefs, as they can’t win big games, the Chargers will have to win 3 consecutive games on the road in order to get to the Super Bowl which is very hard to do, the Texans are good but their secondary has been getting shredded and the Ravens offense is a question mark. The Pats have already beaten the Texans and the Chiefs.
I’m not sure who will go to the Super Bowl out of the AFC but I would say it’s most likely going to be Chargers, Pats or Ravens.
