Which is better?
"National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation"
Or
"Scrooged"

I like Bill Murray, but Scrooged sucks. Christmas Vacation is great.

Vacation for me. Just funnier. Love Bill Murray but he's been in funnier movies.
Saw it only a couple of weeks ago at a retro cinema called The Rex in Herttfordshire. Only just found out though that Chevy Chase's son in the movie......is none other than Johnny Galecki from Big Bang.

Scrooged. I don't care for Christmas Vacation.
But why compare these two specifically? They're nothing alike.

I have no real preference. They're both great fun. Scrooged is my third favourite Bill Murray movie, while Christmas Vacation is the perfect family mayhem-type Xmas flick.

Christmas Vacation (1989) ; hands down.
-Christmas Vacation (1989) - 6.5-7/10 ; within my Top 188 movies and it's the 'go to' Christmas movie straight up. I re-watched this on Dec 19th 2018.
-Scrooged (1988) - 5/10 (I just viewed it today on Dec 24th 2018. it's not bad, but ultimately not a movie ill see again)

Christmas Vacation is more fun to watch.
"Fixed the newel post" is a catch phrase I use all the time around our house.

Definitely Christmas Vacation. I watch it every year at this time. Love Randy Quaid (Eddie). "Shitter was full!"
