I just finished listening to the podcast.
The story is bonkers primarily because it feels like a very melodramatic Lifetime movie of the week.

The new season will be about Betty Broderick. I've watched both TV movies based on the case. But that was awhile ago... Enjoyed season 1.

It's told a little differently than the first story. It keeps shifting the timeline and doesn't tell the story in a linear fashion. Amanda Peet seems and odd choice as she looks nothing like Betty. She does a good job, but it's just a bit off-putting if you're familiar with the real case. Christian Slater was a good call for the husband.

Peet was an odd choice. They picked a great actor to play her Husband younger too. It's uncanny. One thing I'll say for this season is that it's more balanced. The movies (to me) painted Betty as an over the top jealous Shrew. Pretty one sided. This season really shows you what pushed her over the edge in her marriage and after. But it doesn't let her off the hook either.
