Now that the year is coming to a close, I seem to recall we used to do this topic around this time, back on the old IMDb F&D board: what new food items (products, dishes, ingredients, spices, cookware, etc.) did you discover and/or try for the first time in the past year?
Me: I tried a variety of new products for the first time. I'll update periodically rather than batch them here all at once. Here's one thing I got for the first time this past year:
Also tried this French butter (President brand, in tubs) for the first time. Wonderful stuff:

Pizzas made in Italy. Publix carries them (Montelli) and surprisingly Walmart carries a Sam's brand that's made in Italy. WKD and I prefer meatless pizzas. These are small 12 inch pizzas, just enough for the 2 of us and the crusts are very good. WKD used to leave the edge of his pizza that was mostly the crust but now he gobbles up every bit. Rouses has also just started carrying Italian made pizzas under their own Rouses name.
