I have had a couple of Thing dreams, like I was out in a snowy landscape by a large hanger at night and there was a thing somewhere out in the darkness.
Another time I dreamt I guy in a bed transformed into a monster from an obscure 1970s UK horror film and chased me.
Years ago I was on a bicycle being chased by professor werewolf in a tweed jacket with the patches on his elbows.

I did have a terrible nightmare... It actually had Darth Vader. And, him and the Emperor wanted to make me sign a new mortgage agreement. One that was just terrible; like I agreed that my mortgage payment would be astronomically high. And they used the force to make me sign the agreement. Then Vader took me around to show me the new houses I could afford, which all were ghetto shacks. It was all so vivid. There was a lot more to it, and Vader was so much more foreboding than any of those movies show. It was terrible! Normally I would be happy to wake up and say "it was all just a dream..." But this one stuck with me. I still don't feel right. Even 16 hours later!

Are those faint footsteps those of survivors...? Hate to be the one to tell you but it was not a dream. Sadly you have been contaminated. You have got to turn yourself in. They must put you in suspended animation until they can find a cure. It must be done. There is no other choice.

It's not a dream. You're in Raccoon City. You should read Wesker's Report and Wesker's Report 2. Easily find-able online.

No, it was worse than that. I would rather have been in that Imperial Commander's position - getting choked. While we were driving around to look at the new houses I could afford (which were shit shacks) I decided to make a move. See, the deal wasn't done until Vader found me a new house a agreed upon. But it was getting to the point where he was going to alter the deal. Me and him were in the back seat of the car. I figure death was worth the risk, and grabbed his light saber - igniting it as it thrust it toward him. Then just before impact, he disappeared. The people I was with thought all was cool and I vanquisher him. But, I knew he wasn't gone. As we went about our business, I became increasingly breaking down. I knew he was there - but unseen. I became a nervous wreck. To the point where one-by-one people stopped wanting to associate with me. Then when I was on my own, I heard a musical theme start. No, unfortunately not the Imperial March. But some piano theme that signified he was back. Dream ended with me as a child, with 3 or 4 other children outside of a nice community housing building in the winter, singing a song. I noticed one of the children was wearing all black, with a long black coat and a black knit cap shaped like a Vader helmet. Then I woke up, and haven't been the same since.
