The Santa at the larger mall seemed to spend most of his free time talking with the girls who worked with him in one on one conversations. The Santa at the smaller/more upscale mall payed attention to the passers by and said "Merry Christmas".

Once upon a time when Catman worked in retail, a mall Santa got into a fight with one of the checkers at the store where Catman worked. This was early in the holiday season.
The next day, she was back at work. He was not.

The larger mall, that Santa is ridiculous. He's supposed to pay attention to the customers. I would've fired him on the spot.
