Cartoonists making the jump to live action directing. Which was the better comedy?

Loved them both, but I have to go "Office Space." Doesn't hurt that Mike Judge topped both with "Idiocracy" (for me anyway).
I'd kill to see them team up on something. There's a lot about their comedic styles that seem like they would really gel.
Judge is more my lane (just because he's a little more subtle...Hank Hill is funnier than Peter Griffin to me...but that's splitting really fine hairs). I love them both. Wish there'd also be John Kricfalusi (of Ren & Stimpy/Hanna Barbera/cartoon legend fame) in the mix to use some of his classic reverance and appreciation for animation. Hell, even a quick Mr. Horse cameo would have me hook, line, and sinker.

It's a shame. Though I like what newer cartoons have to offer, I like John K's old school approach...the attention to hand-drawn stuff mostly. And MacFarlane loves classic cartoons as well. It's too bad we will probably never see that chemistry experiment. And hey, just noticed your Phoenix101 handle. Assuming you are the angry Joe from YouTube. Thanks for great content, I've been enjoying it for years!

Office Space, and it's not even close. Likewise Beavis & Butthead over Family Guy. Not only is it a better, funnier satire of American culture, but it's the far more influential show. Without B&B, there's no FG, South Park, etc., etc....

Going a bit further, without The Simpsons, there would be no B&B, and without The Flintstones, there would be no Simpsons, and without The Honeymooners, there would be no Flintstones.

And circling back to my point: what wouldn't there be without Family Guy? (Besides American Dad and the Cleveland spinoff.) ETA: I guess you could argue... Robot Chicken?

I think Teen Titans Go gets a lot of influence from Family Guy.

Office Space is better.
When it comes to Ted I thought Ted 2 was much better and funnier than the first.

Joanna: You know what, Stan, if you want me to wear 37 pieces of flair, like your pretty boy over there, Brian, why don't you just make the minimum 37 pieces of flair?
Stan, Chotchkie's Manager: Well, I thought I remembered you saying that you wanted to express yourself.
Joanna: Yeah. You know what, yeah, I do. I do want to express myself, okay. And I don't need 37 pieces of flair to do it. [flips off Stan]
