Do you think that Doctor Steel should have told Judith that she was going to die right away or you think he did the right thing with not telling her ?

Keeping the patient fully informed is always the best way - it's the only way. Any adult has the right to make his/her own decisions about their health and health care and be able to control their own lives. No one else should believe that they can make those decisions for other people.

In life: she should have been informed. But: should she have told George Brent the truth at the end? In movies: any contrivance to increase the weepiness is fair. In fantasy: the doctor should have given Bogart a performance transplant. Dark Victory (1939)

In fantasy: the doctor should have given Bogart a performance transplant. Yeah Bogart should never have been in this movie.
