Luck owns the Titans. Colts exceed expectations for the year by far and have made the playoffs after starting 1-5. Congratulations to the Colts.

Here is my recap and analysis of Week 17’s games
Colts defeat Titans 33-17. Colts rebound from a 1-5 start and will make the playoffs, Colts dominated tonight, Luck has had a great season after being injured for all of 2017 and this is the most talent Luck has ever had around him IMO, they have a balanced offensive attack, a strong O-Line and a much improved defense, they will be a challenging team to beat in the playoffs. Titans were hurt by injuries and narrowly missed the playoffs, they have a solid team all around and they will be good again next season, they need to add in a couple of offensive weapons and Mariota needs to stay healthy but they are in solid shape.
Bears defeat Vikings 24-10. Bears with a dominant outing going into the playoffs, they have a top tier defense and their offense is solid, they are Super Bowl contenders. A massively disappointing season for the Vikings as they miss the playoffs, they have far too much talent to finish with such a mediocre record, their defense was extremely disappointing and played very soft for a lot of the year, their rushing game was inconsistent and their special teams were weak, and they couldn’t beat quality opponents, they should have a great team but they could never find a rhythm in 2018.
Eagles defeat Redskins 24-0. Eagles get in the playoffs with 3 straight wins to end the season, Foles has been terrific for them once again, it will be very interesting to see if they can make a run in the playoffs, they have some very talented players and are red hot. Redskins collapsed when Smith got hurt, and with his future up in the air, their situation is very uncertain going forward.
Ravens defeat Browns 26-24. Ravens win the AFC North, they have a terrific defense and their offense has been much improved with Jackson at the helm, they have a unique attack that is difficult to stop, they are red hot and are Super Bowl contenders in an up for grabs AFC. Browns were remarkably improved this season and they will be playoff contenders in 2019.
Chiefs defeat Raiders 35-3. Chiefs clinch the 1 seed in the AFC, Mahomes with another great performance, getting to 5000 yards passing and 50 TD’s, the only other player to accomplish this feet is Peyton Manning. Chiefs are Super Bowl contenders and they have a lot of very talented players, although their rushing game is question mark as is their secondary. Raiders are trash and have made some bizarre decisions, they need to rebuild for when they move to Vegas.
Seahawks defeat Cardinals 27-24. Seahawks clinch the 5 seed in the NFC, they are a talented team with a great rushing attack and a solid defense, they will be a threat in the playoffs. Cardinals were a disaster and have very little talent, I think they will improve some next season.
Rams defeat 49ers 48-32. Rams clinch the 2 seed in the NFC, they are a very talented team with an outstanding offense, they are Super Bowl contenders but their defense needs to play better. Niners will be much improved next season when Garappolo returns, they will be playoff contenders next season IMO.
Chargers defeat Broncos 23-9. Chargers have had a strong season and are a very talented team on both sides of the ball, they are Super Bowl contenders in a wide open AFC IMO. Broncos desperately need a franchise QB, until they get one they will not be playoff contenders IMO.
Patriots defeat Jets 38-3. Pats clinch the 2 seed in the AFC, Brady with a strong performance and the Pats with a dominant win, they have a good team and are Super Bowl contenders, although their lack of a pass rush and their average front 7 are a cause for concern. Jets will be improved next season as they now have their franchise QB in Darnold.
Steelers defeat Bengals 16-13. Steelers narrowly miss out on the playoffs, they had a disappointing season given all of the talent they have, they lost several close games including the pathetic choke job at Oakland, and their rushing game and defense were both inconsistent. The Bengals ave been stuck in mediocrity for years, it’s time to fire Lewis and start preparing to rebuild.
Texans defeat Jaguars 20-3. Texans clinch the AFC South, they are a very good team with a lot of talent on both sides of the ball and are a threat in the AFC playoffs. Jags were a huge disappointment, their defense wasn’t nearly as good as it was last season and they have no QB, they quit in the second half of the year and they need a new QB badly.
Falcons defeat Buccaneers 34-32. Falcons finish 2018 with 3 straight wins, they have a strong team but a slew of injuries and several close losses derailed their season, they will be improved in 2019. Bucs have an interesting decision to make regarding Winston, I’m not sure if they should keep him or not, and they have to improve their defense before they can compete for the playoffs.
Bills defeat Dolphins 42-17. Bills played better than they were expected to given their low talent level, they will improve next season as Allen will be in his second year and they will add in more talent. Fins have been mired in mediocrity for years and they quit at the end of this season, they need to fire Gase, dump Tannehill and revamp the front office, they need to shake things up.
Cowboys defeat Giants 36-35. Cowboys have the 4 seed in the NFC playoffs, it will be interesting to see what they can do going forward, they have talent but they need to be more consistent all around. I don’t think the Giants can make the playoffs until they get a new QB, I expect them to draft one in 2020.
Panthers defeat Saints 33-14. Panthers had a disappointing season, they need to add in a couple of offensive weapons and bolster their secondary, I think they will be playoff contenders again in 2019. Saints rested their stars, they are the favorites in the NFC IMO.
Lions defeat Packers 31-0. Lions are a puzzling team, they have some good players but they can’t get things together and I’m unsure where they go next season, their offseason moves will be interesting. Packers will be improved with a new coach and I think they will be playoff contenders next season.
Any thoughts?

I wouldn't want to give a recap or analyst of the Lions/Packers game either. However I'll help out. Lions dominated. Packers were without a lot of starters. Rodgers got concussed in a game he shouldn't have played in and that's on management. The end.

The Jets have fired Todd Bowles. Now he has more free time to stand around with his arms folded looking emotionless.

Pats looked good yesterday against a terrible Jets squad that had already given p for the season. They even sat some of their best players. Still, it was good to see the team get back on track a little. Brady had a great day, other than a bad overthrow of a wide open Hogan in the end zone. The defense looked solid, I have to say. Again it's the Jets, but considering how poorly the Pats had played over the last month, I'll take what I can get. I mentioned this in another thread already, but an odd circumstance is that all five teams that beat the Patriots ended up missing the playoffs. I don't know if that says more about them or the Patriots.
Congrats to the Eagles for fighting their way back to the postseason. I have to admit, I thought they were done a few weeks ago. But here they are. Vikes were a huge disappointment this year, and is there any word on the next coach for Aaron Rodgers? Maybe the next guy can help 'the GOAT' get back to the playoffs.

The two favorites are Josh McDaniels and Pat Fitzgerald.

Iffy catches in the Browns favor there. Ravens fans are going to be raging that the referees trolled Baltimore out of the playoffs. Ravens fans should be thrilled how the refs helped them win

I keep hearing Jim Caldwell's name as the favorite to land the job. Where do you hear that? He was interviewed merely to satisfy the Runey Rule. The two favorites are Josh McDaniels and Pat Fitzgerald. Now they are saying some more new names. My guess is that we will hear every name under the sun until someone is really hired.

Where do you hear that? He was interviewed merely to satisfy the Runey Rule. The two favorites are Josh McDaniels and Pat Fitzgerald. Now they are saying some more new names. My guess is that we will hear every name under the sun until someone is really hired. They are doing there due diligence as they should in searching for the next head coach. Pagano and Caldwell were interviewed early because they were not employed so GB could interview them. They couldn't interview current NFL coaches until their season was over or they had a bye (example currently being McDaniels set to interview soon as well as 2 Saints coaches). They are expected to interview around 10+ candidates for the job which is a good thing. As a Packers fan who is keeping a close eye on this search at no point what so ever was Jim Caldwell considered a favorite. He had simply been one of two guys who GB was eligible to interview at the time. Considering that he used to coach against them it wasn't a bad decision to interview him to get an outsiders perspective on things he may have exploited against this team as coach of the Lions. He also fell under interviewing a Rooney Rule candidate that had to come from outside the organization. The next head coach has been favored to be Josh McDaniels (because he becomes the favorite for damn near every job it seems), Pat Fitzgerald (due to being a good coach and his connection to Mark Murphy the Packers President) though that has stalled after him saying he isn't going anywhere after Northwestern's bowl victory, and now that he recently got fired Adam Gase's name has gotten a lot of traction. I however do think that Gase ends up as the next HC of the Bronocs after seeing Peyton Manning going to bat for him.
