Interesting how many people chose a team playing this weekend as the eventual Super Bowl champ.
There have been 16 Super Bowls in the current 1-6 seed format.
None have been between 2 teams playing Wild Card weekend.
Of the 32 Super Bowl teams, 75% came in off a bye as a #1 or #2 seed, 56.3% as a #1 seed.
However, 6 of the 16 Super Bowl winners played on Wild Card weekend. These teams are 6-2 in the Super Bowl, with all three seeds lower than 4 winning their Super Bowls (GB, NYG, Pit).
