This year it seems to be really close. Baker set a record for TD passes by a rookie in 27 breaking Peyton Manning's record of 26 and he didn't even play the entire year.
Then you have Barkley who has just been one of the best backs in the league since the moment he stepped foot on the field. He reached over 2000 yards from scrimmage as a rookie becoming the 3rd to ever do that (Eric Dickerson and Edgeriin James). He also broke Reggie Bush's rookie record of 88 catches.
I personally would vote for Barkley because of his stats coming with a team that has a horrid offensive line and yet he was still able to do what it is that he has done. However what Baker has done can't be ignored. He has brought the Browns back from the cellar of the NFL.

I'd go with Baker but would be fine with Barkley winning.

I love Baker, but you can't look past what Saquon has done with that shitty team around him. What kinda numbers would he have put up with a top-tier team?

I voted for Barkley, but either choice is a worthy one.

Mayfield. Saquon has great games and games where he wasn’t a factor. Mayfield brought the Browns to the brink of the playoffs.

Both would be deserving, but I am just amazed by Barkley. Every time he touches the ball it is magic. This guy has the potential to be an all time great. For the past few years, the Giants have notoriously had the worst offensive line in football. He seemed to have no problems with it.

Barkley.
I think Baker feels more circumstantial in direct comparison. Haters can stfu because I've the Browns making the 2019 playoffs, not the Giants.
