Tough call.
2004 Red Sox
2003 or 2004 Patriots I'd lean toward 2004 but they were really beat up by the end of the year. Though I guess we're talking final results so yeah, 2004.
Can't decide on the best Celtics team, too many to choose from in the Russell era. Look at all the hall of famers and championships and try to decide which was the best team overall.
The 1940-41 Bruins (Probably)
How about best teams not to win a championship?
2007 Patriots
1970-71 Bruins
1966-67 Celtics
1946 Red Sox

I think that the Sixers actually hold those titles in Philly, which is hilarious because they have been a laughing stock for so long. The 82 Sixers and the 67 Sixers are two of the top 8 basketball teams of all time in any city.

The Houston Rockets back to back championships...I need 5!? I got 2, lol.
Astros being swept by the white sox in the world series, yea that was fun!
Longhorns beating USC (Gotta go to college, sorry)
Ummm, and the WNBA, winning 4 titles, Ill go with their last title, 4 years in a row, pretty neat.

How about that expansion Colt 45s team in 1962 that finished 18 games ahead of the Mets, 6 ahead of the Cubs, and 4 1/2 games better than Washington?

Reading "my city" as "my sports city" (it's my sports city because it's where I was raised even if it's not where I'm living now)
. . . also with the caveat that I want to pick at least one season for each of my teams:
1972 Dolphins 1973 Dolphins 1995-1996 Panthers 1997 Marlins 2012-2013 Heat

I'm only going to talk about seasons during my lifetime, which is since 1970.
1. 1982-1983 76ers. Erving, Moses, Bobby Jones, Mo Cheeks, Toney - I'd put that team up against any team in any era.
2. 1980 Phillies. Like Moses with the Sixers, Pete Rose was the piece that finally put them over the top. Schmidt and Carlton didn't hurt either.
3. 1973-1975 Flyers. Clarke and Parent. Broad Street Bullies. 3 Stanley Cup Finals appearances, winning two of them.
4. 2007-2011 era Phillies. Most fun time to be a Phillies fan. Should have won more than one World Series during this period.
5. 2004 Eagles. Was great until McNabb puked.

Problem is, that is WAY before my time. (80s baby). IDK, it's like a Red Sox fan going,"WHOO 1918 WORLD SERIES!" Is it huge for our history, yea, but idk if that's fair for me to say it when I wasnt even born to see it, ya know?

As others have done, I'll stick with the teams from my lifetime.
5. 1986 Mets. Tremendous team, iconic playoff run, just a shame they could never repeat the magic.
4. 2009 Yankees. Sure, they bought this championship, but the additions of CC Sabathia, AJ Burnett and Mark Teixeira bolstered the aging core to a 103-win campaign and another coast to the title.
3. 2007 Giants. Certainly not the "best team" but beat arguably the best team in NFL history on the biggest stage. The prime example of how getting healthy at the right time means everything in today's NFL.
2. 1998 Yankees. 114 regular season wins, cruised to the WS. Last baseball dynasty.
1. 1983 Islanders. Sure I was a wee lad for this one, but winning 4 cups in a row is amazing no matter how you slice it. It's a shame that this team has been so fucking bad ever since.

If I go by where I was living at the time, and I was old enough to be cognizant of the teams and sports,
1961 Yankees would be #1 1989 and 1984 SF 49ers would be next
