Something tells me this film wouldn't be made today.

Sure considering that it features Peter Sellers in brownface playing an Indian man, it's not exactly the most PC movie by today's standards, but I still think it's a funny film. You'd be surprised to hear that many actual Indians enjoy it!
It peters out in the last 15 minutes when it's just random chaos, yet the rest of the film is fun. Sellers is in great form and he's got some amusing interactions like the Gunga Din 2 opening, or where he meets the American cowboy actor, "Birdie Num Num" and the dinner sequence.

I thought the same when I was looking over my collection the other day (adding new discs to the already overcrowded shelves). I'm thankful it was made though. I would have loved to been at that party! Lmao at the partygoers reactions when he's on the intercom. On the old board there was a thread with people saying putting graffiti on the elephant was animal abuse. I bet he or her, liked the scrubbing bath to get it off when filming was done, as elephants love baths.

I'm thankful it was made though. I would have loved to been at that party! Same. It looked like fun. That's how parties should be. Not getting drunk and dancing around like morons or whatever people do these days. Howdy partener! Birdy num num!

hilarious on tv as a kid - not so much now. Uneven, if one of a kind 1960s comedy. Not a Peter Sellers fan - which would definitely help digest it.
