I buy toilet paper. Because a 4 pack is a dollar. If you get 6, that's 24 rolls for 6 dollars. The cheapest you'll get a 24 pack at Walmart is $9.99. I also buy dish soap, shampoo, body wash, cleaning supplies, gift bags, zip lock bags, etc. Do you shop at the dollar store? What do you get? So basically you wipe your ass with your hand, because that stuff is one ply at best!

I love, Love, LOVE Dollar Tree for one reason, and one reason only......they are one of the few dollar stores (that I've come across) that actually has DECENT (both selection-wise, and in terms of "quality") greeting cards (some as low as 2 for a buck!)! Nothing I hate MORE than spending $3 to $5 for just ONE greeting card elsewhere, when I can get as many as a half-dozen for that same amount at 'The Tree'! Thanks, Dollar Tree !! SAVE FERRIS

Only whatever items are available in the actual dollar section of the store, which isn't a large section at all. And it's usually stuff like soap bars, hand soap, little things like that. Most of the items in other parts of the store cost the same as elsewhere (Walmart, etc). A dollar-dollar store doesn't exist anywhere near me.

Cards, reading glasses, and tons of earbuds and USB charging cables. My kids tear up and lose earbuds and cables pretty fast if they are cheap or expensive, so I just go with the volume on those things.

At Family Dollar, I buy things like soap, shaving cream, razors, toothpaste, mouthwash, pain killers, snacks, juice, birthday cards, occasionally a DVD or CD, etc. Of course, most of these items cost more than a dollar each but their prices are still relatively cheap...cheaper than I'd find them elsewhere.
I haven't been to an actual dollar store (where all items are $1 each) in a looong time.

I rarely go to the dollar store but when I do it's either Family Dollar or Dollar General.
One day I was outside and it started getting cold all of a sudden. I was out shopping and decided to stop at Family Dollar. They're a bit messy (nothing is ever organized on the shelf), but I grabbed myself a hoodie for half of the retail price. That was a heck of a deal and a good name to boot!
Other times I'll buy microwavable burgers. My local Walmart only tends to carry those in a big box when I only want one.

I have a Dollar Tree near me. I get toilet paper, paper towels, paper napkins, paper plates, sometimes those two pack of bubble mailers, toothpaste mouth wash, and Halloween Candy during that season. Also the occasional pack of pens or pencils. I have found some decent books there, some of them hardback editions, like the book version of Seth Macfarlane's "A Million Ways to Die in The West", "Ted Williams: My Father, A Memoir" Claudia Williams, "Silver Screen Fiend: Learning About Life From an Addiction to Film" Patton Oswalt and a few others from time to time. Also the occasional trading card packs when they have them. Lately they have only had small stickers, not the "collector" type stickers or album stickers, but the kinds that kids put on scrapbooks, toys, themselves as "tattoos".
