Which pre-1990s superhero film do you prefer? Batman holds a special place in me heart largely due to nostalgia but Superman, even with its not so great visual effects, seems to have done better against the ravages of time.  |

Batman is one of those movies I can rewatch multiple times a year, its that good. However Superman was groundbreaking for its time. It also is Superman, my favorite superhero.

I remember having this same discussion with friends when Batman came out. We all agreed that while it was a great movie, Superman was still just a bit better. I recently re-watched them both and I still feel that way.

Superman
I never cared for Batman movies. Too dark,visually and plot wise. Batman on tv was the best with the one movie.

Batman. I liked Superman until they refused to stop making Richard Donner Superman movies.

Superman is a much better movie. Batman isn't even my favorite Tim Burton Batman movie.

Batman 89 is my favorite Batman film. But Superman is my favorite superhero film.

I never really cared for the Tim Burton Batman movies... every one felt like I was, well, watching a movie.
When I watch Superman: The Movie, I feel as though Superman could be a real person, and is really out there saving us.
Superman, all the way for me.
Now, if you want to start a poll about Superman: The Movie VS Batman Begins, well... I might have trouble deciding in that poll.
