Walked first I was a late talker, so much so that when I was 3 or 4 my parents took me to an Easter Seals clinic to do hearing tests on me. I have vague memories of some of those tests, with the headphones and having to raise your hand every time you heard a beeping sound/tone, and even one of the sound booths. Turns out I was just super shy. I didn't need to learn to talk, because my parents understood what I meant when I pointed or grunted. This changed when I started spending time with others around late 2 or early 3.
However, once I did, I was apparently all caught up within a couple of weeks. All I needed was a little motivation.
That's been the story of my life.
