I think the Dawgs rushing attack will be the key, they have a more balanced attack than the Horns and I think they will be motivated to prove that they are a top 5 team, I think the Dawgs might be the 3rd best team in CFB. Should be a fun game!!

Can anything else go wrong for Georgia?

Dawgs have woken up some after a horrid start, but the Horns have been dominating at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, Horns have gotten a lot of pressure and have limited the Dawgs rushing attack, and the Dawgs have made several errors and have been sloppy, I think they are somewhat hungover from the Bama loss. 20-7 Horns at halftime.

Uga has a chance. Some Texas turnovers would help.

Dawgs certainly have a chance, they are a very talented team. They need to get Swift going, he’s done nothing so far.
Stupid decision by Herman to open up the 2nd half with an onside kick, blowing the good field position you would get because of the penalty. Fucking stupid.

The Dawgs have laid a massive egg in this egg, a weak, sloppy performance all around. The Longhorns have been very impressive, they are back to being a top tier program IMO, Herman has done a great job.

poelzig, what in the hell is happening with this Dawgs team? Do they have guys sitting out or something? Is it that they're unmotivated? I predicted them to win by like three scores.

The Dawgs just didn’t show up. They have some people out on defense but they just haven’t played well, the Horns have swallowed them up at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, they’ve held the great Georgia rushing attack to under 100 yards rushing and have pressured Fromm the entire game, and the Dawgs have been sloppy, the punting disasters, a couple of TO’s, plus bad tackling, busted coverages and generally lousy play. I think some of it is a hangover from the Bama loss, and some of it is just the Horns being underrated and outplaying the Dawgs.

Could he win it all?

Third and final proof that Ohio State should have made the CFP.

The Horns are back to being a top tier program, getting to 10 wins, beating Oklahoma and winning the Sugar Bowl. Dominating performance tonight, they dominated more than the final score indicated, they did a great job on both sides of the ball, and they will be playoff contenders in 2019, they will have most of their players back including Ehlinger, they are back to being a top tier program, great season for them, great job rebounding from the awful loss to Maryland to open the year.
On the other hand, a disappointing end to a great season for the Dawgs, they are still elite and will be just as good next year though.

Third and final proof that Ohio State should have made the CFP. Ohio St lost to Purdue by 29. The same Purdue team that got beat by 50 in the Music City Bowl. On the other hand, Oklahoma’s one loss was to Texas, whom they later beat in the Big 12 Title, the same Texas team that just beat a great Georgia team tonight. There’s no debate that the committee got it right.

If you can’t look past the one bad week, that’s a whole separate issue.

Third and final proof that Ohio State should have made the CFP. Anybody but Notre Dame. They should not have been in the playoffs.

Third and final proof that Ohio State should have made the CFP. Anybody but Notre Dame. They should not have been in the playoffs. By the eyeball test I agree, they weren't a convincing playoff team but they earned it by going undefeated. Still, their lack of elite athletes on both sides of the ball was made evident in that Clemson game if you didn't already know going in. I still think UCF should've made the playoff, but that was never going to happen. At the end of the day, there's no reason not to have a 16 team bracket; at the very least an 8 team bracket. I thought it was hilarious that Georgia was throwing shade at Notre Dame on Twitter, then came out flat themselves and lost to Texas. Who exactly were the best four teams, because I don't think bowl season answered that question adequately. That's why we need at least 8 spots in the playoffs.

I agree, the playoffs should include more than 4 teams. I disagree Notre Dame should have been there. They were in for other reasons than impressive football. I disagree UCF should have been in the playoffs. They couldn't even beat LSU who was missing 8 starters.
