I've enjoyed the show since day one. It's one of my feel good shows even when the episodes were sad.
One of my favorite characters was Chummy and I'm hoping that Miranda Hart will return for at least a couple of appearances. Sister Monica Joan is a gem, proving that there's a lot more to her than meets the eye. The other actors are top notch.
I've read a lot of flack about Vanessa Redgrave's voice overs but they don't bother me bec they tie up things in the end.

I find it to be way over the top sentimental. |

It's a great show. But I think that it's not as good anymore as the first seasons, it's to politically correct, most of the people would have been horrified by homosexuality etc. And I didn't like the episode about the female gender mutilation, when they said that the daughter wasn't "fixed" later, I find that improbable at that time.

I watched the first 2 seasons on DVD and really liked it. I also enjoyed the soundtracks. I watched an episode on TV last month that dealt with a Chinese-British family. It was pretty good. However it was sad when the former nun who married the nice doctor miscarried.
