Was just watching Toy Galaxy Video of Netflix/Disney breakdown and synopsis of what happened. Dan states that per the deal that Disney/Marvel signed with Netflix they can't use the Likes of Daredevil and friends for 2 years after the deal ends. Was this common knowledge and I'm just finding out?

It is true, they cannot use the characters for two years.

I kinda assumed there might be a clause in their deal. Just first time I've heard someone put a specific time frame on it. It sucks that the Netflix shows are going away, but 2 years isn't that long in Hollywood time to wait for Disney+ versions or movies. I also assume the legal tangling inhibits Disney/Marvel from using the same iterations/actors/plot points of the netflix shows?

Yeah I heard about that a few weeks ago. I think it's a good thing, because they'll probably recast and go in a different direction with the characters. It'll make the transition to the next iteration easier for the audience to accept. Whoever steps into the Daredevil, Kingpin or Jessica Jones roles will have some serious shoes to fill.

Hence why Punisher features non-comic villains I guess.
