The Punisher is separate from the other shows. I don't think it's going to matter if you've seen them or not. As long as you've seen season 1, you're good to go for season 2. Didn't think of it in that way. I have seen up to episode 4 of season 2 of Jessica Jones. If Punisher is that far removed from the other shows then I might skip over the rest of JJ season 2. I guess with them all ending, I might try and forego JJ season 2. The shitty thing is I loved season 1 of JJ. Will I miss much in connective tissue between the rest of JJ vs the other shows? Nah, I don't think season 2 of JJ connects to the other shows much, if at all. It's pretty self-contained. |

Loved the trailer and can't fucking wait! Yep. This Punisher trailer is a lot better than the Captain Marvel trailer. The Captain Marvel trailer looked uninteresting. This Punisher trailer is enticing. it also looks 100 times better than anything in Aquaman. What was the point in comparing it to the Captain Marvel trailer? |

I am actually almost finished season one again. I have been binging it again the past few days in preparation for this. It is very good, but can be slow at times. I actually hear that season two is much better and that the fight scenes are insane. I love to hear that.

Yep. This Punisher trailer is a lot better than the Captain Marvel trailer. The Captain Marvel trailer looked uninteresting. This Punisher trailer is enticing. it also looks 100 times better than anything in Aquaman. Nope. Gunfights just can't compare the epicness of underwater battles. The Punisher trailer looks interesting but it's nowhere close to as entertaining as Aquaman. What was the point in comparing it to the Captain Marvel trailer? is another MCU product that released its trailer around the same time as The Punisher trailer so it's appropriate and reasonable to compare the 2 trailers. |

I just watched episode one. Better start than Season One IMO. I have family coming in today which kind of sucks. I will have to watch the rest of the season later.

Just saw it pop up on my Netflix today, can't wait to watch it. I'll have to wait for a time I can watch it on my own though, tried to watch the first season with my wife but she found it a bit too violent.

Frank beats the shit out of a few women too. Obviously they're bad guys in context of the story, but your wife may not appreciate that and just see him as a bonafide woman beater. |

I really enjoyed the season. I can understand some of the negative reviews. The story was no where near as good as the story for season one. It was kind of just meh. However, the acting and action was top notch. I found the action in the first three episodes to be the best of the series. Episode three really stood out. The entire police station part was so well done. I wish there was more to the ending. After all of that Russo build up, he never fights Frank. Heck, even the Pilgrim never really gets a proper fight with Frank. They are both weak and can barely fight. Still, I was very happy with this season and I really wish that Netflix would keep this show going.

Something I realized about how he portrays Castle like a dog that's fighting a trauma. A character said he was someone that's off his leash and that kinda stuck. I can't remember if Bernthal does this in any other thing he's in, but I noticed that he's, most of the time, shaking his head "no". Like he's shaking something out of his head. There was this one scene where he was running and breathing hard and it sounded like he was barking.
Also, I really like Amber Rose Revah's angry resting face.

They stepped the action this season. Only flaw was Billy Russo only having a few scratches
It was a fun ride while it lasted

I really enjoyed the season. I really got into Billy's story arch. At first I was thinking like Madani that he was faking it only to switch opinions based on how Curtis felt. By the end of the season in the final episode and his last confrontation with Frank i actually started to feel bad for him. Something I never saw coming after season 1. I sadly didn't much care for the Pilgram character or that overall story. Idk what I wanted at the end but the whole payoff to that plot was really lackluster. Reminded me of the Elektra focused parts of DD S2.
I honestly dont know how much longer I'm going to keep my Netflix account once this gets canceled too. I haven't gotten into any of their exclusives outside of DD and Punisher and I can never seem to find a movie I actually want to watch in their library.

Watching this, the only downside I can see is that I wish Bernthal wasn't Punisher so he could be the MCU Wolverine. Maybe it being canceled and not really directly in the MCU, they still can.
