They NEED to GET RID of the laugh track! I CAN'T believe there are STILL shows that use them. Once a new show uses one I INSTANTLY stop watching that show.

Do you have a startlist that you can put here , Vits ? I would be interested to check out
as to what is available . I agree with RiP , that such shows are annoying and these days
made mainly for the pre-adult crowd . But it is a popular format and intriguing to track ??

EVEN IF a show is filmed by a live-audience they still use a laugh track as well.

Laugh track does not bother me. If laugh track is the only criticism a person gives a show i am not going to take that person seriously at all.
If he or she says they use a laugh track therefore the shows is bad i will just ignore his\hers opinion and not consider it a valid opinion.

I don’t personally think there is anything wrong with it. It’s just that most shows nowadays don’t know how to use it properly. Seinfeld and How I Met Your Mother had great laugh track editors. They knew how to keep it subtle and what moments to really cue it in. You shouldnt have roaring obnoxious laughter being played every other line. I also think the laugh track sticks out when the show really isn’t that funny. When you are laughing too you hardly notice the laugh track. |
