this is a fascinating matchup considering Reich and Luck are on a roll - and Reid sh*ts the bed in the playoffs - Mahomes first playoffs (somebody correct me if I'm wrong)?
it's kind of got upset written all over it....
not being a homer - kind of like how i'm predicting Bears vs. Eagles tomorrow - it's Turdisky's first playoff - i'm expecting he sh*ts the bed............

The only question is, will the Big Red Walrus choke in round 2 or round 3? I’ll say round 2. Colts are playing well, Reich is a good coach who will have them prepared, and Reid’s gonna be Reid. Colts in the “upset” - which is to say it’s not an upset to those who know him well.

The Chiefs always crap out in the playoffs and the Colts have had far better success these past 15 years or so. I was going for KC and I am pulling for them but they burned me so many times that I will take the Colts who look to be in the groove where everything is going there way.
Normally a #6 seed knocking off the #1 seed is considered a huge upset. But when the Chiefs and Andy Reid are involved, that belief goes out the window.

Andy Reid is usually money after a bye week, will be itching to avenge that epic 2013 chokejob against the Colts, and Mahomes is having a truly special season. Even still, the Colts are rolling and KC's defense isn't stopping this runaway train. And even if they do... so what? Colts were supposed to be one of the worst teams in the league this year with a QB whose arm was supposedly on the verge of falling off. ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/tek3suwt5/laugh.gif) Everything from this point on is all gravy.

I'll go Colts. Andrew Luck defeats Andrew Reid.

I can't get past KC's abysmal playoff record.

Kansas City --- more specifically --- Andy Reid has a tradition of fading in the post season. Especially in the 4th quarter.
I got to pick the Colts.

I think the Colts offense will prove to be too much for the KC defense.
final score - 24-17.
Although, it wouldn't bother me if KC did win because it's painful to watch arguably the best coach in the league after Belichick, try so hard and come up short in the playoffs.

He is not the best coach in the league short of Bill Belichick. Andy Reid is great in the regular season. But he is terrible in big games and the post season. You could say he is the best regular season coach. But best coach overall --- would put more emphasis on big games, post season and championships. For example, Sean Payton has both a better regular season record. And better post season record. And more championships.

The matchup seems to favor the Colts.
Good defense. Good offensive line.
The Chiefs defense is bad except for their pass rush. And Andrew Luck doesn't get sacked much.

I suppose you could say he's like the Peyton Manning of coaches. Puts up huge numbers in regular season but comes up a little short in playoffs. Although, Manning did eventually win two SBs.
At the end of the day, the only coach in the league right now with more wins than Reid is Belichick. And most would agree that Belichick had to cheat to get there. Reid is also in top 10 in winning percentage among active coaches. And after 20 years in the league, Reid has only had 3 losing seasons.
