He is not the best coach in the league short of Bill Belichick. Andy Reid is great in the regular season. But he is terrible in big games and the post season. You could say he is the best regular season coach. But best coach overall --- would put more emphasis on big games, post season and championships. For example, Sean Payton has both a better regular season record. And better post season record. And more championships. I suppose you could say he's like the Peyton Manning of coaches. Puts up huge numbers in regular season but comes up a little short in playoffs. Although, Manning did eventually win two SBs.At the end of the day, the only coach in the league right now with more wins than Reid is Belichick. And most would agree that Belichick had to cheat to get there. Reid is also in top 10 in winning percentage among active coaches. And after 20 years in the league, Reid has only had 3 losing seasons. Exactly. Peyton Manning, Jim Mora and Andy Reid --- great in the regular season. Terrible in big games and the post season. Peyton Manning is a 2-Time Super Bowl Champion! Peyton Manning has the worst post season win/loss record of any pro quarterback. "Brady (22-8) has the most playoff wins in NFL history. Manning (12-13) has the most playoff losses in NFL history, including nine one-and-done postseasons. Brady is 4-2 in the Super Bowl, while Manning is 1-2.Jan 20, 2016"www.espn.com/nfl/insider/story/_/id/14609971/peyton-manning-playoff-career-worthy-more-respect-nfl

Tom Brady is 5-3 in the Super Bowl (not 4-2), Peyton Manning is 2-2 (not 1-2). That stat is dated 1/20/16. Manning had not won his 2nd Super Bowl yet. And really, Peyton Manning was a role player on the Denver team that he won his 2nd Super Bowl with. They won because of their defense. Not because of their quarterback.

At the end of the day Reid is a slightly more successful Marvin Lewis. For all his X and O genius, he refuses to address his weaknesses, and that is always his undoing - his stubbornness. If the Chiefs ever win a Super Bowl with him it will be blind luck, and it won’t be this year.

LOL! winning a SB would be blind luck? ok...
But yeah, they probably won't do it this year. Although, making it to the SB is not out of the question. I just don't think anyone can beat the Saints right now.

Yes, it will be blind luck if he ever wins. The opposing QB will break his leg. The opposing head coach will make even dumber decisions. It’ll will be raining. Something beyond his ability to screw up.

Of course winning a SB often has a lot to do with who your coaching. How do you think Reid would have done if he had been coaching Brady all these years instead of Belichick? I mean, without the cheating aspect...
Seriously, you make it sound like he's a horrible coach but he's really not. And the Marvin Lewis comparison was not very good either. Reid's stats make Lewis look like an average coach.

Manning is 2-2 in Super Bowls. And unlike Brady, all of Manning's Super Bowl wins are legitimate wins earned without any cheating.

I think the Colts offense will prove to be too much for the KC defense. I think the Chiefs offense will prove to be too much for the Indy defense.

I doubt that. They just manhandled a tough Texans offense. We'll see though, I think this game is tough to call, could go either way but I like the Colts.

They scored 30+ points in 4 games and 40+ points in 1 game. The Chiefs averaged 35.3 ppg (#1 in the NFL) this season. They scored 30+ points in 12 games, 40+ points in 5 games, and 50+ points in 1 game. The Texans offense is nowhere as explosive as the Chiefs offense.

I know, they have a good offense but they can't play defense, and they've come up short in big games this year. Plus, Andy Reid struggles in playoffs. We'll what happens... but I still think the Colts pull off another upset.

Andy Reid has never had Patrick Mahomes so none of those previous playoff games means squat since Patrick Mahomes didn't play in any of those previous playoff games.

I think it is more likely based on history the Chiefs will beat themselves. Than the Colts will beat them.

And Mahomes is basically a rookie. We'll see how he handles the big stage but if history has taught us anything, young QBs don't perform well in playoffs early in their careers.
Luck has more experience and momentum too. you know they've only lost like 1 game since starting 1 and 5.

Tell me what in his life has Andy Reid won? He’s been to one Super Bowl and lost. You know who else has been to one Super Bowl and lost? Jeff Fisher. Andy Reid makes the playoffs most years and doesn’t win anything meaningful. You can paint him whatever degree of competence you want but ultimately I want a coach who can win the big game, something that Reid has failed at more times than I can count, mostly due to his poor decision making and clock management. So I stand by my slightly more successful Marvin Lewis comparison. Lewis always lost in the playoffs. Reid May win a game or two before losing.
