The Shining Dressed To Kill The Fog Friday the 13th Antropophagus Cannibal Holocaust Midnight Madness Stir Crazy Xanadu Used Cars Xanadu was campy fun. But there was nothing campy about the soundtrack. The ELO score was almost ethereal-like. And suited the movie perfectly.

No one likes Back To The Future? Back to the Future was 1985. This thread asked for favorite movies of the year 1980 (not of the 1980s decade.)

In no particular order: Tess Flash Gordon Resurrection Times Square Altered States Gloria The Empire Strikes Back The Changeling Somewhere In Time The Shining I really need to see Times Square. It is a film that has evaded me, yet one I have wanted to see for sometime. Agreed. I have wanted to see that movie almost since it first came out in 1980. It looked gritty and appealing, the two teenage girls on opposite sides of the track bonding and seeking out the night life together. How cool!

Just looked it up and it's available, apparently intact and free on Youtube. www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAlS2Kh2wLA

Toasted Cheese My mistake. but based strictly on 1980... I got nothing worth listing. I like giving details on where movies rank for me in general as it gives people perspective on how things stack up against all movies I have seen. this is a good thing, not a bad thing for those who like a bit more detail. but you call it 'self absorbed' just to talk crap as usual. try being nice to people ; if your going to dis me, at least come up with a good reason to. because saying what you said about me based on that post, says more about you than it does me (it actually looks worse for you than it does me. I am sure you can see that much, right? ; I never dissed you before so I am not asking much for the same in return ). also, if you want to go with that 'nobody cares' mindset... you could also apply that to just about everyone else around here. because if you really want to get down to the bottom line... someones opinion about a movie does matter if others find that person general opinion(or score) on movies to be valuable on some level. sure, I might not appeal to everyone around here, but then again I doubt I am that much either way of the common person around here who posts. hence, if you want to dis me, you might as well start dissing others to.

Toasted CheeseAny specific examples? because I just called you out for your BS and you try to spin it around to try to make me the bad guy here. I don't see how that makes me the bad guy? ; because you basically talked crap with the "nobody cares about your self-absorbed ratings and what you scored" comment when I just simply made a post like I usually do not attacking anyone. how am I the bad guy here? because without examples... your pretty much just talking crap to try to make me look worse than the common person around here which is simply not true. it would not be difficult to find people who are generally more on the attack around here by calling others names etc which I have a pretty good reputation with in this regard as I pretty much don't do it.
