For instance, as legendarily bad as Plan 9 From Outer Space (1959) is, it took me a while before noticing that the two airplane pilots on-board the plane at the start of the film (about the 4:13 minute mark, below) don't even have 'yokes' (i.e., steering wheels) on the cockpit set they're sitting on.......they're just (I'm guessing) hunks of wood, crudely cut into the APPROXIMATE shapes of what you would expect them to look like.... Anybody else ?? SAVE FERRIS

It took several viewings of Godzilla (1954) before Catman realized Emiko Yamane and Shinkichi Yamada were the ones running the slide projector at the second meeting of the Diet Committee regarding the events on Odo Island.

Only when I finally saw The Shining on the big screen did I notice that Jack Nicholson deliberately smears advocaat onto Philip Stone's jacket.
I'd watched Brazil about half a dozen times before I noticed people marching through a mall carrying a banner saying "Consumers for Christ".

Moonrise Kingdom. Today, maybe my 10th or so viewing, when Sam goes back to the chapel to get Suzy's binoculars. I can't believe I never clued in when injured Redford from the infirmary tent is watching Sam from her binoculars' pov, before their tussle. It's a nice one up on Sam to set that table. The entire final sequence leads from him having to go back & retrieve them.
