i guess this is why robert wanted ned there in KL with him , to have people he trusted around him ,no offense to robert fans but i think he was stupid how can he NOT know cersei and jamie were involved? did robert take a good look at his kids with cersei ? not one looked like him should have been a red flag , sansa was right about him when she was 13 she told her father robert was a drunk old fool .I saw that when he hit cersei in front of ned and he didnt like that i really thought that would have been a good opportunity for ned to find some common ground with cersei instead of investigating who the father of her children were if robert was stupid enough not to care he shoudnt have either. And we are back to "Ned Stark was a principled arsehole". He rejected Cersei's offer to find common ground in S1E04. This is fact, consciously engineered by the authors to paint the story in shades of grey. No one should ever have cared who Joffrey's father was. An accepted ruler is the better alternative to an internal war. Littlefinger and Varys knew that. Jon Arryn ruled for "17 good years" Ned is made to say to Varys. He doesn't know, of course, he wasn't there and knows about as much as his "bastard", but that's the image people have. The Lannisters funded Robert's government, though. Tywin will be made to say how much Robert's wars cost him (although I can only think of the Greyjoy rebellion). They kept Robert on the throne. This story pits reckless idealists and pragmatic realists against each other. The latter always end up ruling but the former are those who cause bloody convulsions and temporary terror. Stinking idealists will sacrifice anything to lofty concepts like honour or justice and they often take masses down with them. This is basically what Stark, Stannis and Targaryen fans are. one would think after what neds sister did he would be more understanding- the common enemy to this story has always been the targrayens.

Cool, you can see the future? How did you get that ability? You don`t need to see the future to know that only morons thinks that Cersei will sit on the Iron Throne

Or someone who is speculating on a twisty ending, which I agree has very little chance of happening.

I'll agree that alone makes it less likely but we have been promised a surprising end, so it's still more in the cards than the Targaryen victory idiots and turds want to see.

How is it moronic for someone to think the show will end a certain way? It's not even something particularly crazy or farfetched. The bad guy winning? That has been done before and isn't anything new. What makes anyone else sitting on the throne any less moronic? You don't seem to be making much sense here. Quite a bizarre thread and behavior by you I must say.

one would think after what neds sister did he would be more understanding- the common enemy to this story has always been the targrayens. Keep in mind at this stage Ned believe's the Lannister's killed Jon Arryn and tried to kill Bran twice. Not to mention his men were slaughtered in the streets by Jamie. The Lannisters are certainly his enemy at this stage, but even then he gives Cersei a chance to leave with her children, before telling Robert of her betrayal.

And of course my prediction about Cersei was proven to be true.
But i am pretty sure that i am wrong with my prediction that Jon is going to sit on the iron throne.

all was good between everyone when lannisters ruled it only got messed up with LF and Aunt Lysaa meddled Lannisters never ruled. Baratheons ruled the kingdom. TECHNICALLY not, since they were actually Jaime's children.
