He only joined in May.
They're mid-tableish, points-wise closer to the top than bottom... 8 points from the play-offs, 13 from relegation.
It's not that easy bouncing straight back up from relegation... If he keeps them stable in the Championship, I would have stuck with him for now.

It's a mistake and makes no sense time wise a week into the window. The Championship has too many teams that think that they are still "big clubs" and have a God given right to be in the top 2 or 6 at the worst. They can't all be there. Relegated teams are just as likely to suffer a double relegation as they are an immediate return so a mid table stabilisation, for me is entirely acceptable in the first season. Seems to be an utter failure to accept reality at boardroom level of so many clubs these days.
