hands down its Killer Joe (I believe that came out in 2012 in the States but I could be wrong)
I'll echo the recommendation of The Autopsy of Jane Doe . That was a freaky little horror film imo .
Also liked Lone Survivor (showcased off the brotherhood of the NAVY SEALS and their tragic mission)
I haven't seen it yet but I hear Just Jim is pretty good . Oh and don't waste your time on Bonnie & Clyde remake that he was in . flat out crap imo.

As above, killer joe (2011), a sordid murder plot thriller with an unlikely Matthew McConaghey as the psycho hitman hired for the job. Good stuff. Otherwise.. the darkest hour (2011) - 3 the motel life (2012) - 3 savages (2012) - 4 lone survivor (2013) - 4 the autopsy of jane doe (2016) - 4, maybe 5 prince avalanche (2013) looks promising. The OP clearly chose 2011 as the cut off because of Killer Joe. |
