This is one of the reasons I had said Catholicism is relatively better form of Christianity in my opinion. It doesn't encourage cultish behaviour as much as some of the other religious schools do. I'm not a member of any cult, and I believe we are in the Last Days right now. Exception to the rule? No, the general rule of the chronically stupid you share with JW's and their ilk.

But they are, in the form of an ill-informed populace that elects corrupt and unqualified candidates to national office who then enact unsound and harmful policies that are damaging this country. Too bad. Agreed. it IS too bad that the USA is currently governed by stupid people elected by stupid people for stupid people, yet affecting everyone.

Well, what have news articles, respected historians, and world leaders stated? Notice how 1914 has seemed to be a turning point! : Well yes. History is replete with turning points. 1815, 1455, 1215, 1066... you name it. Hmmm. And yet, here we are living in a way better world than they had in 1914. So it seems like this predetermined march towards disaster faded out. You must not live in the Sudan...or Chad....or Syria. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ongoing_armed_conflictsreliefweb.int/report/world/global-report-food-crises-2018Or do you think they are now living in a “way better world” than when they had food or peace? 2 Peter 3:3,4....”...in the last days scoffers won't think about anything except their own selfish desires. They will mock the facts to make fun of you. And they will say, “....Ever since our forefathers began to die, all things are continuing exactly as they always have.”

and you are one big simpleton to believe that there are more conflicts today than in the past.

“... latest shameless strategy”? Those words are almost 2,000 years old. Lol. You should re-read my post. I presented facts, but I’m “one simpleton”, huh? You’re the one wearing rose-colored glasses.

Those words are 2000 years old but the circumstances you describe are not true. And yes, you are a simpleton if you believe the conflicts are greater today or the current times are harsher than the time past. All measures indicate world has never been more prosperous than it is currently. And I mean world not just 1 country. Poverty, child mortality, average life, literacy, violence, health and almost on all measures the world collectively has progressed. You are one big fraud to say otherwise. or coward to not look at the facts.

Going to debunk one more of your lies. As time has progressed the % of people who have food problem or go hungry has also declined. It's hideous that you spread nonsense.

Uhh....my posts were / are about world conditions existing pre-1914 and post-1914. Not from the 1940’s or 1991. Is that called moving the goalposts?

The hunger, poverty, crime etc have declined for last 200 years. Just because some graphs didn't cover them that doesn't mean that didn't happen. Disease etc have decreased tremendously since last 200 years. So this 1914 is no cut-off for change in those measures as you pretend.
and try to read properly. This graph is for last 200 years. The world has been becoming better on various measures for last 200 years or more.

lol Your argument is the world is a better place because there is less extreme poverty? Why is that even trying to be a metric for the good life? Why is that a metric to dismiss the world sucks for a lot of people? However, let's pretend God, the last days, Armageddon, & all that other stuff does not exist as a concept and tackle the numbers a bit. That line is based on a worldwide standard of not making 2/day ( I could not find on World Bank's website what the 1820 equivalent was lol). But it doesn't address how many people overall are impoverished. Fir example, in the states the poverty line is something closer to 17/day. Lord only knows what it would be in wealthier countries of like Sweden or Singapore. Are people who live there doing fine and dandy on the basis of 2/day? Now back to Bible believing (I'm not sure why anyone is thinking Matthew 24 is a JW only chapter, but whatevs...), if you answer the question as anything other than yes, then how exactly are you refuting anyone? I can only assume it's happening in your brain. I find it fascinating that despite a literal thousandfold increase in technological advancement, more jobs, more industry, more everything, that the earth sucks so much that even by your measure , something like 15% of the planet is still in extreme poverty. Here is a better chart for how many people are living poor which you seem to think is awesome. Granted this is 2008 (I couldn't find newer at World Bank. They appear to switch just to extreme poverty) but you will notice that back then the extreme poverty rate was 1.25 so the percentages remain close. However, nearly every source I check states pretty clearly that well over half of the world is poor. Your war example, now that I know where you're going with this, is even worse since it doesn't explain anything in any substantial way the loss of life throughout the 20th and 21st century. For example, why the heck would you provide evidence starting after WWII? Of course, it doesn't even appear that ones who died in concentration camps would even be counted.

lol Your argument is the world is a better place because there is less extreme poverty? Lol/....That's just one of the arguments. The increases in living standards have happened in literacy, average calorie intake, alleviation from poverty, decrease in child mortality rate, increase in freedom, increase in average age and many other metrics. You have got to be one big loony to deny that all these doesn't represent world being a better place. And not all data I gave was from 1940s. Many are from 1800. And The fact is that all these measures have been improving since the 1800s or before 1914s.
And you can't think of ways how reduction in poverty increases living standards?
Noone has ever denied that the world sucks for a lot of people. The % of people across all continents have seen improvements in the living standards.
