No but I am not a fan of pickles and don't eat them. I love pickles, but do find fermented foods a bit disagreeable. Are you one of those people that take the pickles out of her Macca's burgers Deb?

Especially if you eat then plain. Yes, and anything fermented is heating in the body too. It is not that great for the skin either.

I used to when I ate meat but the only burgers I get from McDonalds now are a Fillet 'O'Fish, an Egg and Cheese McMuffin or an Egg, Cheese, Tomato and Lettuce McMuffin. We mostly only get McDonalds for their drinks, desserts and cookies or when my nieces and nephew are with us. I never liked pickles (sorry) but something I do love that looks kinda similar is cucumbers. I LOVE cucumbers and always have them with other salads like tomato, beetroot, celery, lettuce, carrots and alfalfa.

Pickles are fermented cumbers, but cucumbers as they are, are very nice in a salad or on a sandwich.
I don't get why Maccas can't do a vege burger like Hungry Jacks. They had one several years ago, which was a chickpea pattie, with some lettuce, tom and a sweet chilli sauce, but it didn't last long. In India, it is all vege Maccas and the meat ones are just chicken or fish because the moo cow I sacred. They have a paneer burger too.

I always thought they cut up pieces of green capsicum in the Tartare Sauce and there are certain brands that make that sauce with capsicum in the ingredients so I am not entirely sure. what McDonalds use. I didn't know pickles were made from cucumbers and I always wondered why they looked similar but they tasted very different so I never thought of it that much. I totally agree with you about McDonalds needing a veggie burger and I am surprised they haven't already had one here and it shouldn't be hard for them to come up with one. I would like it if they made a Prawn burger too and they used to have Prawn burgers at a few places around here but they stopped selling them and McDonalds has never had one. Do you remember when McDonalds had prawn cutlets? They sold out of them really quickly and for some unknown reason they never brought them back.

I could be wrong about pickle being in the Maccas tartare sauce, but pickles are small cucumbers or gherkin. They are of the same family. I don't eat chicken or fish.
Maccas want to promote their beef only and for a place that is supposed to specialize in burgers, they are being rigid and inflexible and don't want vege burgers to become popular, at the expense of selling their meat burgers. They have used the excuse with me that it wasn't fiscally viable for them to have a vege burger. If they can do white meat burgers, they can do vege patties as well. It must be run by a head honchos of bloodthirsty carnivores. I am going to avoid Maccas as much as I can now and go to HJ's instead until they get their act together. The culinary world and dietary requirements are changing now and what they thought was relevant over 15yrs ago is not the same excuse now.

Going down on a pickle is tacky. It is a waste of cucumber to pickle. They can have other pleasurable uses....

Beccy and I went to Water World with my family and we had McDonalds for dinner last night and I had a Fillet O'Fish burger, garden salad and one of their new Choc Coconut Iced Lattes and I think it is capsicum on the burger mixed in with little bits of onion and herbs in the tartare sauce and I am not sure but I always wondered what the cheese was on the McDonalds burgers and we got some from the shops and they are called burger slices and you can get them in Dairylea and Kraft. McDonalds do like promoting their beef and chicken but I think there is a chance they might make a Veggie burger as an alternative to their meat burgers and I am surprised they haven't made a bigger fish burger with lettuce and the buns they use for their quarter pounders 'cause I know a lot of people that would like that and think the Fillet O'Fish is too small. What do you think of their drinks and desserts? Oohh and their cookies? I like them most of all and we sometimes only get their drinks and I like their new flavoured Fanta's but certain stores are being a real pain with them and claim they don't have some of the flavours of any of them some days and you have to go to other stores to get them and I think say that and are lying 'cause they are only $1.

Maccas are working to economics and what is going to save them the most money. They have denied that their burgers are smaller now, compared to say the 70's and 80's, but their big macs definitely got smaller over the decades and they used to have a whole slice of cheese on the fof, but now it is half a triangle.
I would like to see them get their act together though, but then again, vegetarians are in a minority, but it will grow over time.
Is that you guys in the avatar?
