Makes me fear zookeepers. That guy was so crazy. And the sole survivor would have better off dead because she had to go back to her child molesting gaurdian (uncle).

Its one of the best thrillers in recent years. The film keeps you on the edge of your seat The Whole time. James McVoy was great with his 23 personalities and the girl who played the only survivor was fantastic as well. my only problem was the beast thing, it went a little too far with making Kevin someone impossible to kill,

He just got lucky that she was a bad shot is all. Kevin's alters believed so much that the Beast personality was unstoppable so it kind of mentally supped him up on adrenaline. You know how that mother mustered enough strength to raise a car off of her child who got pinned underneath? Or when people do extraordinary things due to an adrenaline rush. The Beast believed in it so much because they were delusional. I don't know wbat he was injecting himself with though. For all we know it could have been some type of perfromance enhancers. But having Bruce Wilis from Unbreakable cameo at the end makes you think otherwise. But what I remember from his character in Unbreakable was that his body was a little different in that his bones were stronger than normal. But he definitely didn't have true superhuman strength. It was just above normal.

I liked it quite a bit, I think its only issue is that is spends a lot of time on Anya-Tayor Joy's character's backstory, despite it essentially being a villain origin film, so I feel a bit more time should have been spent on McAvoy's character, getting to know more personalities. but luckily both leads are very strong actors.
however the film's true horror is her backstory with the uncle, made me nauseous.

I know. I wanted to see more of the other personalities but he only could do 5: Miss Patricia, Travis (and Travis pretending to be some other personality at the therapy sessions), Kevin, the 7 year old and the Beast. Miss Patricia's femininity was hard to distinguish if she wasn't wearing that shaw over her shoulders. I think she was one of the personalities at the train station. I think she was the one who brought the flowers. I think the flowers symbolized the Beast's birth and Kevin's demise. What do you think?

And how he clamied the walls. But it's possible she missed because of how nervous she was not because of his super strength. Now i made a huge mistake when I went to see it because i did so without watching un breakable first. I thought it was just a kidnaping film like prisoners or Taken but it just happened that the kidnaper had 23 personalities. And then someone here told hey hey you should have watched unbreakable before, so I watched it online and the whole twist made much more sense. When I first saw it was do confused like why we are seeing a Hulk like character in something like The silence of the lambs?. i thought this is as implausible as Bond surfing the wave in Die Another Day and Coronel Moon becoming Gustave Graves but then i watched un breakable and realized it is ok because it's a super hero universe. It's this director's own comic books universe.

What do you think? well I think that was the point of the flowers, she lays them down and immediately transforms. there was one, "Lisa" I believe, who I would have like to have seen more of.........and the real "Barry."

Honestly, I would have preferred it if it turned out that survivor girl was the main personality the whole time and kidnapped her own friends. I suspect that's what they wanted to do (considering her backstory) but they thought it would be too obvious in a Shyamalan movie and scrapped it.

So I interpreted the Unbreakable cameo at the end as an explanation of Kevin's 24 personality. When the girl at the bar says that Kevin reminded her of that guy in the wheelchair who thought he was a superhero and Bruce answers her question. It was confirmation for me that Kevin suffererd from the same crazy delusional thinking that Mr. Glass did. I remember when Split came out in theaters, people had these theories that Shyamalan was going to merge Unbreakable with Split in some kimd of extended universe. Perhaps we will see that happening. I can't remember if Shyamala confirmed it or not.

I was hoping there was a twist because she seemed to understand how to handle the situation differently than the other two girls. Esoecially when she sat calmly in the car when the kidnapping happened and when she told that girl to pee on herself when Travis grabbed her. Unfortunately no twist this time.

So that means our hero might fight two villains just like Batman in Batman returns

Im glad they didnt go there or this very movie wouldve been as contrived as another suspense movie high tension honestly.
