Who do you think will be the villain in the first MCU X Men film?? I would love to see a new version of Magneto but then again we have already had Magneto as the main baddie in more than two films in the previous ones. How about Sinister?? or Trask?? Thoughts?? Also do you think they will set up Magneto throughout the film or just show him in a post credits scene. Thoughts??

Mr. Sinister or the Friends of Humanity.
Magneto can stay out of a few films considering he's been in almost all of them.

I'd like to see Sinister, too, but there are to many unknown variables. Are they going to just use the comics as a starting off point? How are they going to introduce the in the MCU? Are they always going to be present in MCU, but hidden? Are they going to jump off from a Multiverse in to the MCU?
I love Magneto, but yeah we might want to put him on the back burner for a bit. I also like to see the MCU movies start off with the first set of students. I think they need the spot light for a bit. Cyclops, Iceman, and Angel more so than Charles, Beast and Jean. Especially Cyclops, all three have gotten the short end of the stick Characterization and for screen time. I think Cyclops hurts the most of those three. If we are focusing on them then maybe the threat can be lower in the first couple movies. Have Sinister as the chess master in the background and use lesser villains as the on screen baddies.
I know he's not a X-men villain per se, but to make it more inclusive to the MCU. How about we introduce Doom in MCU as the next baddie for the whole MCU, but introduce him as that through the MCU X-men movies.
Edit: I would say introduce Dr. Doom as the MCU chess master/behind the scenes villain in a Fantastic Four movie, but I don't know how the MCU can get FF movie to work. I think FF would work better as a TV show on Disney+, but even that might still feel the sting of the FF movies.

Are they always going to be present in MCU, but hidden? Are they going to jump off from a Multiverse in to the MCU? I've always wondered these two questions. Even before the Disney/Fox merger. I always thought it'd be incredibly odd for Mutants to have existed the entire time in the MCU. Especially if you watch shows like AOS. Surely someone would've identified the mutant gene by now.
But I do like the idea that some kind of event happens in Endgame that creates the multiverse, which could easily bring Mutants into the fold. It makes sense that the possible time travel in Endgame mixed with the power of the Infinity Stones, and even Thanos idea that the universe doesn't have enough resources, I could easily see that combination of things causing an event that will be like a 'Second Big Bang' in the Marvel universe where multiple universes explode into existence.

mcu embarrassing record of mediocre villains.
if mcu uses mojo he will still find a way to embrass himself and mojo is pretty embarrassing.
in the comics many xmen villains where mutant race haters will nazi tendencies. we know mcu can put that in their film.
when their best villian killmonger is a poor version if mckleen/fassbender's magneto. what can mcu do.

Yeah that's been pretty much corrected now. Killmonger, Thanos, Hela, Ego, and Vulture were excellent villains.

Mr. Sinister is the obvious choice. They should have had him already, before Apocalypse really. But with a MCU X-Men in the near future it's probably a good thing that they haven't used him now. Magneto is played out, he's been done way too many times. Mr. Sinister meanwhile is a worthwhile main villain that they can be the Macy's equivalent of a Magneto. mcu embarrassing record of mediocre villains. That's completely irrelevant to what the thread was about. Stop ranting, next time there will be a strike.

If only to set something up for later. But that would be a little close to Nebula.

I'd actually like them to do a proper Apocalypse.

Stop ranting, next time there will be a strike. sometime we have to follow the map.mcu bad villains are due to disney making sure their villains dont scare kids.take into the spiderverse. kingpin can be the villian but kingpin is too gritty for mcu so he was down sided to netflix.
when we talk mcu villians they will be more like ultron, rhinos than future sentinels. either way, gotta admit it is pretty bad.we know mcu xmen will be mediocre shallow garbage just how much is the question now.

sometime we have to follow the map.mcu bad villains are due to disney.... Again, all complete waffle. The thread is asking who should be the villain in the X-Men movie. It's not asking for opinions of Disney and the state of their villains. You can make a separate thread to rant about that.

Haha as if Disney would ever touch an Age of Apocalypse storyline. Theyd have to show mass human exterminations and horrific acts by the horsemen. Harmless fairy dust vanishes wont cut it.
