Disco: If I Can't Have You – Yvonne Elliman
Doo-wop: Little Darlin' – The Diamonds (it's actually a satire that people took seriously)

"Largo al Factotum" from The Barber of Seville. Not an opera fan, but I can't resist listening to this aria whenever I hear it. Figaro Figaro Figaro!

SOAD had much better songwriting chops than their nu-metal peers. "Toxicity" is super catchy.

I recently discovered that Lee Aaron, who put out an excellent heavy metal album back in the '80s, released a new album back in 2016. The album in question, Fire and Gasoline, was promoted as her first "rock" album in twenty years. However, it is more accurately described as "Pop Rock", definitely a genre for which I only have a passing interest or less. That said, I really do like the title track (see below). It's catchy but it still rocks hard enough that I can enjoy it. And Lee Aaron still looks and sounds great!

Two I think the Emmylou song was a Sopranos thing. I dislike CW and my first wive loved it. But she hated one CW singer, Dwight Yoakum, the one CW singer I do like

I don't know that SOAD was really nu metal (you could almost consider them a new genre like pop metal or something). Sometimes bands get lumped into genres based more on time and place than anything else, like how Pearl Jam was considered grunge.

I have other favorites, but the first song that comes to the mind of this girl who was born a country music fan is "A Whole Lot Of Love" from the Led Zeppelin act.
God bless you and the members who are still here always!!!
