How different would Spider-Man 3 would be if the Venom symbiote bonded with the Sandman instead of Eddie Brock? Would it have been possible for the Venom symbiote to bond with Sandman?

That would confuse the fuck out of the symbiote wouldnt it?
It wouldn't expect a host who could already do a lot of the same stuff.

How about the movie removes Sandman entirely, re-cast Eddie Brock, take out the silly bullshit and make it a Spider-Man vs.Venom movie?
I still don't understand why Sam Raimi was so against using Venom as the villain. The horror aspects of the character are right up his alley and Venom is one of the 3 best Spider-Man villains.
The symbiote bonding with Sandman makes no sense, because Sandman is already extremely powerful and even uses his powers in a similar way.

I've always found it funny how Sandman is so nonchalant about being turned into this guy with special powers with sand and he's somehow able to easily use them.

The symbiote needs a living host to feed off of. Isn't Sandmwn basically just sentient sand? Though he does shed a tear at the end...ugh, f*ck this. *leaves*

But does he have a brain, or just various grains of sand shaped like a brain? I said he was sentient, so I understand he has a conscience, but that's different from living biologically.

My only real argument is that the science behind Sandman is nonsense, so who's to say if the symbiote can bond with him or not.
