Any movie shorter than 90 minutes. Just to be clear, modern films right? Correct.

It being directed by a sucky director, such as Wes Anderson, PT Anderson or that Malick guy.

Any movie shorter than 90 minutes. My rule of thumb is a movie doesn't have much of a script if it's less than 90 minutes long.

I think you bring up a number of good points but I totally disagree with you about 2 and 10. As others have pointed out there are heaps of great Horror sequels and while the Horror genre has undoubtedly had some awful, awful sequels it has had more successful sequels than any other movie genre and not to mention many of those sequels have had far more success at the Box Office than the first movies in the franchise like 'A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 and 4' for example which many fans see as the best and had around double the success the first one had at the box office. The Pokemon movies also prove 2 wrong and this year we are getting the 22nd animated movie which are linked to the TV series which has been going for 21 seasons and the Pokemon franchise was recently named the biggest selling media franchise in the world making more money than any other franchise including Disney.
