Oh, man, will the NBA ever learn? You put us against anybody and we will humiliate them. Put us against the reigning Eastern Conference Champions? We score 140 points and Harden gets another boring 40 points and a boring triple double in the first half. Who's next now?

Pretty decent imitation, particularly for someone whose first language isn't English.

6th seed. Right now we'd be playing OKC.

6th seed. Right now we'd be playing OKC. WE are 13-3 in last 16 games and I believe we could have won 2 more with CP3. Our death schedule is over and we can relax for a while. But I hope we get CP3 and EGO back soon. I won't mind if we trade EGO for a decent SF/PF like Marcus/Markieff Morris. But even without a trade, things are not looking bad. We have best record in the league against .500 or better teams and if we are healthy then we can be a threat to anyone. Harden is actually truly on a higher level than ever before. Don't hear the media narrative that it's the same guy. Nope. He is literally destroying every team on his own. He has made changes to his game. After we get CP3 at his best, we will be fine.

aj - granted we'll be going into 7 game series in the playoffs - my concern would be - what if they go 'cold' from the outside during a crucial deciding game.
is there an inside presence? (or is it clint capela?)
years past I always had this fear with Villanova which would occasionally come back to haunt them - i.e they were an outside shooting team and when hot - were deadly - but when everyone was ice cold (which wasn't often) - that's when a team could knock them off (NC State in the tourney a few years back).

I agree with you that the Rockets are too dependent on 3 point shooting and I also agree with you that we can go cold from outside the arc not just in 1 crucial game but even for 3 or 4 games in a row. That said I would be banking on our defense as we showed in games 4 and 5 of our series with Warriors last season. I remember we shut down warriors to just 12 points in last quarter.
Capela is improving though he still a way off from being dependable. He can have off games where he would miss easy dunks or lobs. That said he has improved his FT percentage which is a good releief and Harden's passing is becoming more and more elite. I believe a healthy Rocket might be able to compete with GSW just like they did the last season.

do you think Harden steps up in the playoffs this year and doesn't disappear like years past and show to be a true superstar and alpha? I think that's the key he puts the team on his back in the playoffs and doesn't turn into a turtle when it counts..............

I think that's the key he puts the team on his back in the playoffs and doesn't turn into a turtle when it counts.............. I think it would depend on CP3's health status. We are literally going to play against 5 all-stars against GSW so it would be unrealistic to believe that Harden could do it all. But I do believe that Harden will be the best player of the series if Houston play with a healthy team and that Harden can win it all for us. He is now getting into heads of opposition. Steph Curry was recently crying about the fact that Harden gets away with travel while he gets called out by refs. Earlier, GSW players didn't give a fck about others but after what happened in the games 4 & 5 in the playoff series last year and the recent game which Harden won us from nowhere they have become scared of Harden.

I wouldn't bank on them facing GS. I think adding Boogie to KD and Green with Klay in his free agent season - and nobody knows what's going on with Kerr - as Steph is the 'Icon' watching on - it's a soap opera and ticking time bomb. going to be fascinating.

Congrats you beat the worst team in the NBA! Sorry, if I appeared to be celebrating much for nothing. This was actually a parody thread on similar threads started by a former member Marco who was a fan of NY Giants.

Except some of marco's would claim beating the 00s Royals was an achievement because they had won the '85 World Series. Whwn he tried to make anything the Knicks did sound impressive, I truly pitied him.

Yeah...and he kept repeating Ny Giants turning Patrioits 18-0 season into 18-1 season for many years...any win for Giants and he thought it was the same team that won the superbowl.

Congrats you beat the worst team in the NBA! they suck yes - as a Sixers fan i'd raid them for help on the bench (and still **love** Love) at the buyout period and trade deadline have stated this over the past year and longer especially since we lost Saric and Ily. they're weak at the '4'. and have no backup at '5'. it's just pretty much Embiid beasting every night - even though they league went to small ball. love can pop an outside jumper too and stretch the floor. was hated on for this opinion by other sixers fans. hate on this now? Wilson chandler and moose blow. we lose Ily and Saric. Amir is dead weight backing up Embiid or spotting minutes at the '5'. Throw Cleveland the 2021 Miami 1st Rounder and I'm torn - but Fultzy - as well as trash like Chandler 2 2nd Rounders and $$ to make it work. Simmons Redick Bulter Love Embiid Championship Team. (asking me about the bench is a different topic)
