I found a hundred dollar bill when I was working in a supermarket when I was in high school. I turned it into the office. None of the tills were short and nobody ever claimed it so they gave it back to me after a few weeks.

Oh. Not really found, but received out of a union dispute. And it was a Seinfeld episode to boot.
It all started in October when I had mailed my father two checks to cover two months as payments for helping me out money wise a while ago. One check was good to go, the other would be good in another week or so. I even dated that check for two weeks later. Accidentally, my father deposited them both at the same time and before the date of the second check. (What's the point of the date on the check when no on pays attention to them?)
So anyway. I am overdrawn and I am like shitting bricks.
I needed to put $in my account ASAP so I start this whole saga of going to one bank, getting money from a credit card (not bank A's card), taking that money to my regular bank and depositing it.
So I get to my regular bank and tell them what is going on. I swipe my ATM card to access my account and the tler gives me a 🤔 look. I look at the pin pad and see the balance on the screen. Just under 6 grand! I was expecting that stipend from work/union contract but just not that soon!
😌🤑😄

I went to a baseball game and when I was leaving the parking lot I looked down and a $100 bill was laying there.

An entire wallet's worth that I discovered in the forest. . But then the person came back looking for it. They're with God now.

I once came across some bills blowing around the parking lot at work (FedEx), after just having arrived about three in the morning. It amounted to $13.00. I have a feeling that had I gotten there a little earlier, it probably would have amounted to a bit more, since, as I said, there was a bit of a breeze (not an especially strong one, but enough to blow all the bills in different directions) though I have no way of knowing that for sure. If there had been a way to find out for sure who's it was, I would have given it back to them.....but because I happened to be the first one there, and they were probably from someone (of about 30-75 different people) who had been there the day before, I didn't even try (though I did happen to mention to someone to let me know if somebody mentioned losing some money, and had they told me that someone had, then I would have followed up with them). Prior to that, I think I once found a $5.00 bill, but other than that, just the odd $1.00 bill a couple of times before that.....which means, in 59 years, probably somewhere in the neighborhood of about $20 total. One summer I worked in a concession trailer selling hot dogs and sodas. I hadn't had any customers for about 20 minutes. I happened to look outside the door and saw a pile of $20 bills gently moving in the wind. I jumped out of the trailer and started scooping them up. I don't think anyone saw me. The total was $440 all in 20s. I felt sure someone would eventually ask about it, but no one ever did. It wasn't the best area, so I like to think it belonged to some drug dealer who accidently dropped it. I applied it towards a ticket to Europe that Christmas.
