I donβt watch much Chargers football. He was having a complete meltdown during this game. Is that typical?

Sounds like Tom Brady when he's losing.

Sounds like Tom Brady when he's losing. Thereβs the usual bitching that Brady and all the other QBs do, and then thereβs what Rivers was doing. He was getting himself so worked up, I think it was hurting his game.

Sounds like Tom Brady when he's losing. But Rivers doesn't pout and sit on the field like Brady does. The rest of the offense has left the field but Brady is still sitting on the field pouting and holding up the game because he's a prima donna who wants all the attention and he makes the refs help him get up. ![](http://assets.nydailynews.com/polopoly_fs/1.1018893.1328673853!/img/httpImage/image.jpg_gen/derivatives/article_1200/bradyingweb-5-web.jpg)

Yes Rivers frequently has meltdowns when the Chargers arenβt playing well.

He's kind of like the John McEnroe of football.

Rivers is like Ryan Leaf with talent. Both bad attitudes but Rivers despite his temper tantrums is composed enough not to attack team members in the locker room and the press. He's still a bit of an ass though.
Tom Brady is another case. He is all smiles and having a good time when he is tossing 30-40 yard passes with no pressure. But he gets all pissy with referees for not hassling the opponents defenders for being "too rough" with him. Or if the team is having an off day you can see him on the sidelines bitching at his teammates. We saw this earlier in the year when he was yelling at some of his players for not executing like he wanted.
Meanwhile, Eli Manning gets knocked on his ass every 2 seconds and I don't recall him throwing hissy fits likes these two guys. Dude just takes it in stride.

I wonder if Rivers' wife will get on Twitter and call out the rest of the Chargers team like a certain Mrs. Brady did?

It was embarrassing, wasn't it. I defended his attitude on this board a few months ago, but yesterday was like he took it to another level. Yelling at the refs from the sidelines, constantly bitching at teammates in a demonstrative fashion. When your leader behaves like that... well, I guess you get blown out.

His passion looks a lot better when he's winning, that's for sure, but I still love the guy. It's been fun watching him all these years.
Poor guy just can't beat a Boston team. I know most of you know the feeling.
