As far as fried chicken goes, Publix is the best for me, its not as greasy as the others but I no longer eat fried chicken because I always regret it the next day. When I go to the local post office, I have to smell the cooking at the Church's next door and I get nauseous, when the chicken is being fried at Walmart, I shop as quickly as I can, the smell of fired chicken really turns my stomach. When I was still able to eat fried chicken, Winn Dixie fried chicken was also good. I guess my old digestive system just can't handle certain foods. |

...it is hell getting old. I can only eat certain foods very sparingly like hot dogs, pizza, bacon and sausage. Don't get me wrong, I love 'em all, but they don't love me.

This one publix makes theirs with some spice, paprika maybe? Sometimes the smell of it cooking can be gross, esp. if they are using old oil! 😷 |

Yes, I totally cosigned on the Publix fried chicken!!! Pretty much all the food they serve is quite appetizing, especially the Cuban sandwiches! |

Now you made me hungry. It's not quite the same, but just as good: broasted chicken. Use to be a place down the street from where I grew up in Wauwatosa. Simple name Broasted Chicken, was there for decades, & it was always delicioso.

I have never tried their fried chicken, even though I live within walking distance of a Publix. Love their subs, though. But for fried chicken, nothing beats KFC for me. Always has. |
