Unbreakable: A slow pace let's the story to really set up, giving you a genuine understanding of all the conflicts the characters have had. This slow pace doesn't make the film slow down though, a lot of exciting scenes keep you in suspense, and then there's the ending. I suspected the twist, but I didn't see that one coming. Great film.
Split: This was a fun and enjoyable movie. I really loved the acting and storyline. Never thought I'd say that for an M. Night Shyamalan movie. James McAvoy was the best part of the movie, I think he should have won an Oscar for his performance. One of the best performances, I have ever seen.
Like, I mentioned before I'm watching Glass tomorrow, and even though I'm nervous that the movie might be terrible, I still have high hopes for it.
Also to include it's an M. Night Shyamalan movie, and his movies have been going downhill, but I did enjoy Split, so maybe Glass will be the best movie ever.
I'll find out soon.

Great reviews. I agree about what you said for both.

Ive not seen Split but watched Unbreakable for the very first time few days ago, after coming home from Glass. Quality movie. Slow paced yes but loved the focus on David Dunnes day to day life, being discontent with work and family situation but still has his son look upto him. The well placed flashbacks are nicely timed to develop his backstory slowly without rushing it, a mkstake most novice directors may make. M. Night trusts the audience and it isnt spoonfed, kudos for that.
The last few lines by Mr Glass is brilliant dialogue.
"Tell me David. When you woke up this morning, was it still there? The sadness?"
"But I found you. So many sacrifices, just to find you"
"Now we know who you are, I know who I am. I am not a mistake"
