I have '0' interest in watching the NFL go global.
I am however fascinated a bit by the MLB, NBA and NHL going global.
A reduced schedule to account for travel time would need to be put in place.
Yankees vs. Japan? I'm in. Warriors vs. China? Count me in. Penguins vs. Russia? Yep - I'm in.

All other issues need to be placed behind officiating. They could play 70 games in London as long as they learned what a catch, false start, interference, roughing the passer, etc are.

For now soccer really is the only sport that has any true world champions.

You can fix this in a sense by pretty much keeping the same amount of time frame to a little lesser extent but chopping down the amount of games to account for travel. Think it was the NHL strike years ago where they chopped the games in half which was actually incredibly exciting. I'm actually for extending the NFL season 2 games - to account for this - you chop down the ridiculous preseason in half to 2 games. Don't get me started on the MLB exhibition - 1 month of MLB exhibition games - this after 'Pitchers and Catchers' report in February - then we have teams playing in the snow on March 30th now and snow and frigid temps the end of October.

You have any interest at all in the NFL when it comes near you? I'm guessing you don't. How about anyone you know?

If you're going to continue to do this nonsense over in England - here is another scenario.
You pretty much make it a 'holiday'.
Get an MLS team to go over there for a soccer match as wel, maybe hold a giant boxing event over there too with a title on the line vs. a Brit boxer.
Call it 'Union Day' or something where America visits England for a day of friendly sporting events.

Does the distance play a factor or do you and others just have no interest in it? I think we will have interest in the sport that is supported by our country. We will love American football. The rest of the world hates it. Other countries will love their football/soccer. Americans will hate it. Out of the main sports invented in America, baseball seems to be the only one that is the most popular outside the USA.

I don't like it either, but I've spoken to people in the UK and elsewhere that claim they enjoy the sport and that there's a growing interest in it. It surprised me to hear it, and I still don't like them taking away home games from teams, but evidently there's a little more interest than we thought.

Even though I do not care about this, there is actually interest and American Football is becoming more popular overseas. This is really all about money and making the NFL a global market is of huge interest to the NFL. The NBA is doing this successfully now and their profits have been skyrocketing.

I actually came up with a way to have a team in London.
1) Training camp and preseason in New York.
2) Eight straight home games in London.
3) Bye week.
4) Eight straight road games in US.
5) Playoff games in New York.
End result is players and coaches live in US, paid in US, only spend two months per year in London.

It happens because the NFL wants to conquer new markets, obviously. Were you under the impression that the purpose of the NFL is to please its existing customers? No, the purpose is to make as much money as possible. If more fans overseas start watching American Football games, the NFL will be able to start charging more for TV rights and will sell more merchandise. As simple as that.
Personally I hate it too, but for different reasons. American culture is already extremely dominant in a number of areas: movies, TV, music, food. The last thing the world needs is for American culture to dominate sports as well.

If a fan of one of those teams that plays in London buys season tix. it's unfair if they charge the fan for 8 games. I hope that doesn't happen.

But they are not charged for London games.
