Seriously, is this going to be what this board is for the next two weeks? Just constant back and forth whining about or defending the Patriots? At this point, who gives a shit? If you think they're cheaters then you think they're cheaters. We don't need to constantly hear about it in multiple threads. You want to defend your team? Fine so be it. But at some point you've just got to let it go don't you? It was bad enough having DC Fan constantly baiting people into discussing this beaten topic but now that the Patriots are back in the Super Bowl it seems like even more people are busting out with this same beaten up topic. I hate the Patriots too but jesus I don't care enough anymore to constantly bring up the same old shit over and over again. So I gotta ask, what is the point? Or at least confine it to one thread where you all can bicker back and forth to your hearts content. Just seems like this crap is bleeding into every thread I open.

2 weeks? This train is going to ride on for 2-4 years!!! If the Patriots do win in 2 weeks it's all going to come back to the bad roughing the passer call that saved their drive or the phantom thumb touching the ball on the punt return.
I think I saw Brady blow a snot rocket on the sidelines last night, and I am a bit disappointed we don't have a thread on that! Snotgate!!!

I enjoy it. Love em or hate em - Brady, Belichick and the Pats are the greatest dynasty of All-Time in any Sport. Sorry UCLCA, Red Auerbach and the Celts - old school Canadians - wherever you want to go. I highly doubt any of us will ever see this in our lifetime again. Old saying in life - no publicity is bad publicity - and the hate they garner by the masses over the years and on this board - to me is top notch entertainment - I only wish JohnTheHumble would make a triumphant return for the Super Bowl ** If you guys are that bored with Patriots drama - I can always provide some more Fultzy updates and wrestling clips too

The back and forth is pretty brutal.
Even some otherwise reasonable Patriots fans are rolling around in the mud with the worst of them...
...and the two worst them were already from either side of this thing.
But yes, this is what it's going to be for at least the next two weeks, probably a month, no matter the outcome of the game.

The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.
I will continue to fight the lies.

the phantom thumb touching the ball on the punt return. It wasn't a phantom touching of the ball. Brady threw an INT on the next play. Like Rasheed Wallace used to say after the refs called a bad foul and the shooter missed the free throw: "BALL DON'T LIE".

I enjoy it. Love em or hate em - Brady, Belichick and the Pats are the greatest dynasty of All-Time in any Sport. I go with UCLA. 10 National Championships in 12 years. 4 undefeated seasons. 88 consecutive wins. 38 consecutive wins in the NCAA Tournament. That's 38 consecutive elimination games that they won! That's never been done before or since by any other team. And back then, there were fewer teams in the NCAA Tournament so you didn't get the luxury of playing a #16 seed or a#15 seed. Every tournament game was against a good team.

No shot clock - just dump it down low to the big oaf.

I don't know what this thread is, but with all the coverage already today in favour of the Patriots instead of the Rams, I was thinking... can I/we name notable athletes who began their careers after SB XXXVI & ended prior to this SB LIII, all while Brady has hilariously toyed with the NFL's parity.
So far, I've seen: Ed Reed Clinton Portis Rick Nash Mark Teixeira Dontrelle Willis Jason Bay Anquan Boldin

And I believe the DC-haters are slightly more stupid in analysing each and every moronic statement of DC and believing how he is proving himself a fool - without realising that trolls do not give a shit about how correct they are, all they need is attention.

Since that 2001 Superbowl, the Rams have had 8 head coaches and 21 QBs start at least 1 game.

In my defense, I have DC Fan blocked.

Not a chance. They won 5 SB’s. 5. In a similar period, Manchester United won 13 league titles.

In an era with salary caps, better player conditioning, higher roster turnover due to free agency and age and injuries, and forced parity, I don’t see how the Patriots can’t be considered the greatest dynasty ever. The only ones that come close while under the same conditions are the modern NBA ones - the Tim Duncan Spurs, Jordan’s Bulls, Kobe / Shaq Lakers, and whatever team LeBron is on. Yes, LeBron is a dynasty of one wherever he plays.
PS - this is not an invitation to bring up the cheating shit for the billionth time.

Great Team, no doubt greatest dynasty of all time ? Not a chance. They won 5 SB’s. 5. In a similar period, Manchester United won 13 league titles. Bill Russell won NBA Championships 11 in 13 years, and was a player/coach for the last two of those. Somehow everyone just glosses over him when talking 'All time,' which is one of the most overused phrases in existence anyway.
