Are you familiar with the original? It ran for only one season (27 episodes) 1978-79. Early in the season it changed it's name from Project Blue Book to Project U.F.O.
I remember enjoying it as a child. No conspiracies just dramatizations of cases supposedly taken form the actual Air Force Project Blue Book.

Is the new show supposed to be a continuation of the old 70's series?

Love the topic but these shows are always garbage. If you want to see something truly great watch "The disclosure project".

I enjoy the series, its a glimpse of life in the 50's % early 60's, I remember the backyard bomb shelters, people seeing flying saucers of course when I lived in NM, a lot of people saw UFO's (peyote?). I never take TV shows seriously but just as a form of entertainment. Not as good a the X-Files but I'll watch it every week, I have to watch the reruns a few days later because the show comes on after this old broad's bedtime. My father built a bomb shelter in the basement, it collapsed. He was also worried about UFO's and he was a chemist so he was educated. On the good side, he was very worried about pollution.

I just wish the show was more subtle. I watched the first episode but they don't really pull any punches. It's aliens and the government is involved.
I would rather that they would take the more subtle approach of showing that the majority of the sightings have mundane explanations and focusing on the ones that convinced Hyneck that UFOs deserved more more scientific investigation.
