The last episode of S2 becomes the springboard for the Xindi story arc the entire third season and it is a great one. I thoroughly enjoyed this season. There were a few episodes I could have done without (Extinction and Exile come to mind) but an excellent season overall. I think Scott Bakula is much better as the determined captain struggling to do what's right. The new 'romantic' angle between Trip and T'Pol is nicely handled. Some extraordinary moments throughout, great performances. The entire cast upped their game for this third season. The production values are outstanding. And I found the various factions that comprise the Xindi interesting, too. One of the best seasons I have seen in all of Star Trek. 10/10

I gave up on this show after about 3 episodes. I wanted to revisit it for the final episode but didn't bother in the end.
I think ST prequels are bad idea and it was too repetitive from what I saw.
As Kirk said about tribbles, "too much of anything isn't a good thing."

Someone told me that you can skip over seasons 1 and 2, go right to season 3 and you won't miss anything. But I bought the entire series on blu ray several months ago and I wanted to at least watch it all once. I am going to try the same with the other Trek series.

I watched all the series--every episode of DS9, all episodes of NG (except one where Data learns to dance) I assume I have seen every episode of the OS from old reruns but its possible one or two I missed. I watched most episodes of Voyager but skipped the last season pretty much but came back to see the last episode. The OS has the advantage of few soap opera elements so you can just watch one episode out of sequence. With the other ones, they may reference things from another episode. I dont really like that. It worked for Babylon 5 but only because I watched 4 seasons daily--don't really care to revisit it.
Of all the series, there's only a few episodes that I remember well (excluding the OS since I saw those in reruns).

Season 3 was the only good season of Enterprise. They dropped the "here's how this was invented" crap and just focused on making a good show.

The only Trek series I am sure I have seen all of is TOS, which I still watch from time to time. Not the others. I've seen a lot of TNG, which is hit and miss, plenty I haven't seen. I've tried DS9 and Voyager. I couldn't get into them. The only reason I ended up watching Voyager was to see Jeri Ryan in a tight suit and that's pretty much it. I think that is probably true of most 'fans'.
We'll see how it goes. Starting season 4.

Voyager became the Seven of Nine show almost as soon as Jeri Ryan showed up and the real reason most watched it was to see her boobs in that skin tight outfit. Voyager is disappointing overall, a retread of a lot of things you've seen before in TNG, and the ending is terrible and anticlimactic.
